Honestly we would be happy if everyone of us gets the same view as the OP.
I dont know why, but this is all the zoom i get in Public Beta.

true, mine was same as yours, i would like it if i could zoom out bit more also

@op thanks for showing us the diffrences
Bumping this one again. Would really like to see a fix to this or en explanation to why some are zoomed out and some arent?

WIP: BM Dualist using bow.
Up again.

Maybe a mod could move it to the Feedback/bug section, for a better chance of reply from a dev? I would really like to see this fixed, so I can see my char from the same distance that others can. It would be fair the day PvP is coming, that some can see longer than others... :)

I'm pretty sure manual zoom control is something we can expect to see sooner or later, Lummi. But I'm just as baffled as to the discrepancies. I would LOVE for my PoE to be as zoomed-out as the OP's -- without dropping resolution, which oddly enough would seem to have the opposite effect in any other game.
Warhammer 40k Inquisitor: where shotgunning is not only not nerfed, it is deeply encouraged.

Dogma > Souls, but they're masterworks all. You can't go wrong.

I was right about PoE2 needing to be a separate, new game. It was really obvious.
Moved for potential reply... I can confirm that resizing the window in windowed mode does change the camera position. I much prefer it zoomed out quite a bit, but this stuff needs to eventually be addressed prior to release cut-throat leagues (particularly hardcore)

so, i did some comparisons, and i have the same view as the OP does in the normal view. actually, my screen is a different aspect than theirs (2560x1440) but its the same as some of the other screenshots posted. (1920x1080)

from what i can tell the vertical FOV is consistent between my screen and the OP screen. and its clear the OP has a consistent vertical FOV between their normal and widescreen views.
so in theory making the screen wider or taller should not change this, the vertical FOV is fixed

but

like the OP my character is a ranger, and comparing to other screens at lower resolutions posted in the thread it does appear to be a wider FOV than other people seem to have with their non-ranger characters.

which leads me to two possibilities:

1) the ranger is just a hella'va lot smaller than the other characters :)

2) each class has a variable vertical FOV based on whether theyre considered ranged or melee characters

i got some ideas for how to test this so ill take a look when i finish up work today.

I can also confirm that the FOV change is consistent no matter what character class you choose.

It's just the way the screen parameters are passed to the window renderer probably.

appears that the ranger is waaaay tiny compared to the marauderer.

meaning the OP images are somewhat deceptive.

so far the zoom level on all chars is identical, and perspective matches.
now to check the effect of window dimensions
I think that standart zoom is better because your character isn't a dot and u can see the shapes clearly and game looks more beautiful.
