D3 Forum Filled with Nerd Rage
" It seems to me that there's simply too much grief, rage and disappointments at the D3 forums. And also your post is mentioned in a neutral and non-provocative way, hence it got buried very quickly by all the rage posts. I have sympathies for the D3 forum moderators. They are probably having a hard time managing their forum these few days. 34pre98qua

Diablo 3 is a great game. I played it for a few months exclusively before GGG made PoE playable again for me by reducing the Labyrinth content required.
I read through the thread pointed to in the OP. I didn't see any D3 forum filled with rage. Why do I say nice things about D3? Because what I say is true, D3 does some things better than PoE, in my opinion, overall though PoE is a better game so I play PoE. Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

I play POE every other season or so, but I always quit while unlocking the atlas. For me, POE lacks in combat smoothness and to a lesser extent in art design. Dark and gritty is fine, it just doesn't look as polished as I would like. Those mare the areas I'd like to see GGG address, but it's clearly not very likely.

" Boom! And there it is folks. Modern Blizz is just catering to their already casual audience. Git R Dun!

" I absolutely love PoE. But sometimes I wonder if the fans arguing that PoE is "dark and gritty" have spent a single second in town. The level of WoW-like micro transaction armors and effects is pretty absurd. I get it, the game devs need the muns.. but this argument can pretty much be laid to rest. Everyones a glowing fairy. |

" Fun fact is, diablo got like 8k Extra users since friday, I guess people coming with popcorn, lol. Also I see no rage on /r/poe, just people welcoming diablo refugees. Granted, there have been like 20 visible threads of guys going "hi coming from diablo, need a hug and a starter build" but nowhere near the deluge that people made it out to be. Exaggeration's a bitch, huh. Second-class poe gamer

the bad thing about d3 people migrating to poe, its finna make poe in even more of a casual game with even more casual fans.

Have some faith in GGG. They got a great game, a great development proccess and philosophy, and have proven (I think so at least) that they follow their own path, not the ideas of the masses. And it's never really been a casual game. Would be strange if they started changing PoE into exacly what people are "fleeing" from.
I have faith that PoE will keep growing ever stronger. |

" I agree. Even though the game has become easier, it is far from a casual game. And it always will be. Sure, you can play it casually, but the game itself is not. The game can appeal to everyone, as long as they don't compare themselves to people on the other side of the scale. Both casual and hard core players seem to forget that that too often. And I seriously think the the "influx" of Diablo players is exaggerated. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" Everyone is? I've conceded to Charan that some folks have turned themselves into Avatar meets Care Bears that fire tinkerbell missiles, but that's not the core game. You have to change the game to that....it doesn't force you into it. Although I don't like that GGG opens up that possibility, whatever makes people happy I suppose. EDIT: There are some builds that do this as well. I'll also concede this point. My time in town is limited to about 1-2 seconds at most. The rest of the time is mostly solo play, with sometimes helping friends. My personal favorite is the grandmaster MTX: ![]() Thanks for all the fish!
