D3 Forum Filled with Nerd Rage

So true, what arknath said. A serious arpg player left there a long time ago to go to greener pastures (there are many now).

Censored.
People are just emotially unstable and can't accept that someone changed. I'd be happy if i were Blizz that all those annoying "fans" finally got emotionally damaged and are finally (hopefully) gone. People are worse than that and they'll be on a crusade against them for the rest of their lives.

The ones quitting diablo will value a lot of the amazing features there once they start playing somewhereelse anyway.

Actually that mobile game they will release could be good for the platform. I'm not the average 99% of the masses that hatefully destroyed that dislike button and i can do what i want. Advantages of being a minority.

Blizzard doesn't care about D3 and they really have no reason to. Game has sold a ton and they made their money.

They probably secretly hate their player base as well, I mean D3 is so shitty pretty much only a subhuman would be entertained by that trash. It must have felt cathartic for Wyatt to crush all of those losers hopes and dreams at blizcon.

Their rage is certainly understandable if even a fraction of your feeling is correct. The whole situation is just sad. I would kill for a D2 remastered. I just can’t play D2 now. Graphics are a bit too dated. Happy not to give Activison any money though.
Thanks for all the fish!

....killing off Deckard Caine with a butterfly...

I was lik wtf... why they killed Cain? His voice "Stay a while and listen" with identify all items etc. was superb.

The same about new Star Wars - killed Luke and Solo - characters with personality and mission - looking like total cretins in 7 and 8...

Absolutely unnecessary things.

And results is that Diablo and Star Wars lost its soul and became blockbusters to be fun only for very short period of time and never look back.

Don't kid yourself, dude. The majority of end-game PoE builds are like something Straight Outta Touhou. Every time I watch a guide video, just to get some ideas of how to approach a possibility, I'm struck by just how in denial some of these people are regarding the visual vomit of high-end PoE play. One click and the screen erupts in a florescent hot mess.

Dark and gritty my sovereign arse. PoE certainly STARTS that way. It stays that way...pretty much through most of core, with hints of what is to come. But by the time you're mapping effectively, you're gonna want fireworks. Serious fireworks.

Yeah, I was referring more to the game you play through the acts. How someone plays end game leaves a lot of avenues, including 4th of July on steroids. I'm playing a Volatile Dead build and use the Abyss MTX just to make it a little dark again. This is one of the few builds I play that I felt the need to do that.

There are plenty of end game builds that don't require that though. I'll concede that it is a bit bright and over the top for some things.

When things get placed at your feet that can kill you and you have no chance to see it because of the 4th of July going on everywhere, that is a problem.

I think the worst that I saw was in a group of friends who were playing Molten Strike Ancestral Call w/ tons of extra projectiles (No MTX). That removed any possibility of seeing anything.

I view this as different. This is more about too many things going on and obstructing the view. Though I did say 4th of July :)....I was referring to the tons of particles and explosions and projectiles and...and and...

You need to be able to see in an ARPG. That's pretty critical.
Thanks for all the fish!

It is understandable if you look at it from the perspective that the devs secretly hate their player base. Jay Wilson was the start of it all. Guy hated Diablo so much he greenlit killing off Deckard Caine with a butterfly, he spread his cancer to Wyatt and the rest of the team. I bet they all sit around drinking whiskey laughing about how a bunch of dumbasses still play/care about D3.

Resurrecting Piety a bunch of times as well as other bosses and recycle 5 acts in a row is a better reason to drink whiskey and laugh at your playerbase. Oh what am i saying, people don't give a shit about PoE campaing. D3 at least gave you the chance to skip it on new seasons if you don't like it.

Good to remember this as well.

That's why I called it a Gem. Made me laugh. Kind of like your threads.

Take a look at the whole first page of general discussion, and tell me that isn't a complete nerd rage fest.

The only problem is that your post is 75% about 1 specific poster and the rest of this thread is discussion only around that. But ey, you just came here to tell us that they are angry! We couldn't have possibly assumed that. We're not 40 year old virgins, how could we know? Hell, I still don't know if they're angry and I probably never will :(

Would it make you feel better if you posted your HH and Mirror again? Go ahead and post it; you'll feel so much better and maybe not so bitter in all your posts :)

My god man, it's a bad sign when people struggle this hard with reading comprehension.

While I think the mass migration to PoE is gravely exaggerated, I have no doubt that there's a lot of anger and frustration from D3 players. The mobile market is huge and there's plenty of money in it -- but the vast majority of Blizzard's clientele expect more than what the current limitations of mobile gaming provides.

And it is funny that some people are taking it to over-the-top extremes. I immediately got the "feels like sandbags" reference having both seen the movie and actually having played PoE. To call PoE slow is a perspective only someone who hasn't truly played PoE would say.

I remember when Blizzard was the juggernaut that could do no wrong - how the mighty have fallen.
Yep, totally over league play.

he's right about the ugly animations tbh

Depends where you look, really. Later content such as the new Delve bosses have good animations. Old content, that hasn't been updated for years, obviously retains it's ugly animations.
