POE sure seems to be losing a lot of steam

I think that this game is cool but it suffers from a lot of major issues that are going to prevent people from getting into it. I've paid $40 for the stash tabs. I will not be buying anything else until I see significant progress in the future.

I truly love this game! I think it's so fun. I really hope that when release finally comes, there will be a surge in players again, just like in Open Beta. GGG should really focus on player retention as release comes closer. There are a lot of extremely frustrating issues that are going to drive away players from an already small game.

I really hope PoE doesn't go the route of Savage 2. I fucking loved Savage 2. I would argue it is the best game in the world, just in my personal opinion. However, it's abandoned by the staff, is riddled with bugs now, and lacks a large playerbase. The other thing is that it is the definition of "not noob friendly". I played the game over many years and still felt like I sucked ahaha, even with 217 sf when I quit, granted there were a lot more noobs as years passed and vets left.

I know that PoE isn't even released and it seems silly to be putting out "this game could die" projections, but I just hope it doesn't go the route of Savage 2. Savage 2 is always a constant reminder to me of an amazing game that just didn't appeal to enough people to last. It had a very nice long lasting period of time where it was tons of fun before it just wasn't profitable enough to sustain itself and died.

Edit: Dear god, logged back onto Savage 2 and saw my 521 karma. Nastalgia washed over me in waves I couldn't comprehend. So many good times... 4 years played, 722:54:44 in-game time played (defiantly had way more time played overall though because of time in lobbies, waiting, games that ended before 15, and unofficial matches). Ah, the glory of pvp. I can't wait for cuthroat league. ARGHGHGHG

the hardware requirements are a joke, i don't want to play a FREE TO PLAY GAME if i have to spend 2000$ on a new computer to play it

Try turning shadows down you'd be surprised how much it improves fps.

I beleave the point your trying to make within his statement is a bookstore isnt going to turn someone away because they come in and ask for a certan type of book because it then makes them bleed money they dont need to.

Highest settings possible, 50~60 fps, mid-level graphics card, half year old laptop, $1400. And my 3 year desktop with an utterly horrible graphics card runs the game smoothly too except when there are massive amount of particle effects on screen.

There are many problems with PoE. Graphical requirements are not one of them (unless you have certain ATI/AMD cards, apparently).

don't know how much a new computer would cost, obviously if i buy a new one i wouldn't get one that can barely run this game, try using your brain a bit, do you get the point? this game runs horribly on anything except relatively new/high end computers and a lot of people would need to buy a new one to play it properly, is it that hard to understand?
