I want to agree with you but he is complaining about dieing trying to altf4 in hc, if he cant handle dieing in hc he should play default. I don't understand why people quit a game for something like this. It is hc, if you die you in hc, your character is no longer in hc. He knew this, and yet he comes onto the forums to complain that this is s fault in the game? How does that make sense.

If someone posts something nonsensical let it die instead of permanently bumping it to the top of the boards. much better retribution than attacking the OP which solves nothing.


Not saying the OP's comments/opinions are nonsensical, only making the point that bringing what you find absurd to the forefront of the list only draws more attention to it. Like telling the kids to not listen to Elvis.

Why do people rely on trading like a crutch? Embrace the challenge, live it, enjoy it! It should be about the adventure and not the destination. I guess I'm getting too old for this shit anymore, it is exasperating to see this mentality of instant gratification. I started with pong, atari, snes, sega genesis, went to pc gaming, and find myself going back to consoles where I started. Multiplayer communities these days are annoying and nauseating to me. Sort of the riddle 4 legs in the morning, 2 during the day, 3 at night... well not really I guess.

I long for the heydays of open world pvp like diablo 1 and 2. Although even back then I loathed the cheaters, the bobba fett hack for D1 allowed you to see who had cheats or even duped items! That was fucking awesome lol. Then came NWN... perhaps the last of its kind forever. Nothing better for an old D&D geek like me. The amount of content made by the community was absolutely amazing- now THAT was a fine community. Never again will such powerful modding tools be offered for a videogame... and all for free- enough content to last three lifetimes.

Anyways, what were we talking about? Oh right auction house... meh.

for now there are 2 outside websites offering search function on items posted in poe trade forum. they do work quite well too.
also, its been announced that there will be an advanced trading functionality implemented into the poe website with some kind of search probably. even before that they are supposed to improve the in-game trading somehow as a temp measure.
so basically the kids calling an improved and searchable trade a dream of a casual noob, are insulting the very devs of poe it would seem.

now heres whats driving me away. im going to hit 82 tomorrow, after having played solo for most of the merci act 3 and upwards. i literally cant group for maps cos of freezes and low fps due to ati card.
assuming technical issues will probably get resolved, i might actually look for a group to do higher maps with. but then again the game turns into a pve grind with the sole purpose of farming gear to kill stuff faster in order to farm more items. this is the reason i skipped diablo and if anything might drive me away from poe -- lack of organized, at least semi-balanced pvp arenas.
