Multi-Boxing. Finally. The facts.

I just want to throw some facts out there since I do use IS boxer and multibox 4 templars from time to time.

They are currently all just over level 50 (softcore) of course. Playing 4 characters and trying to keep them together and alive especially with the pathing, level desings, and different movement speeds is a heck of a challenge. It is a lot of fun.

On the flip side I have started playing a single hard core character and focused on leveling just 1 of my templars because trying to gear 4 characters even with the so called loot advantage and trying to keep 4 players alive is exhausting. I would say the advantage you gain from increased loot does not equal the disadvantages imposed by multi-boxing.

For me it is a lot of fun and I do it for a different playstyle. I dont even have enough currency for a 5 link yet but I also dont just farm bosses with place holders.

The bottom line is you should give it a try, it is fun and it is hard. One day I am going to have the balls to try and run hardcore but I need to be better at it before I waste my time

You are right, two uniques is pretty good. More often it's just 1 unique.

Regardless it averages about 25+ rares and I do get amulets/rings with pretty much every kill

I guarantee this was done with multilogging and not multiboxing. There's no way to do that every 4-6 minutes multiboxing.

Regardless it averages about 25+ rares and I do get amulets/rings with pretty much every kill

I did an average last night. I get around 35 rares per kill. The most common jewelery dropped are rings. Ammys still hold up the chaos.recipe, luckily I don't rely on that recipe.

I also do not believe you average 1 unique per run. I highly, highly, doubt you do.

IDK what the hell this guy is on (zankioh) but yeah. I run 400ish IIR with some IIQ and maybe avarage 1 unique every ... 5 kills or so? What the hell do I do with them anyways. 3 stash bars filled up today with unid uniques.

Jewellery is like 1 every other run or something. My runs take 2 minutes 10 seconds which nets me maybe 5 chaos recipies an hour (10 chaos).

What are you doing with your jewellery if not chaos btw?

What is being called multilogging, ie porting tagalongs to a boss just for extra loot - that's exploitative and a problem.

Replicators - that's automation and also a problem. I don't buy the carbon-paper argument or the driver software argument. You've made 1 input, and gotten 6 commands out of it. 5 of them are automated.

Buy it or not, thats how its viewed. Replication is not automation and the Devs agree to this. You call it whatever you like, but it is not cheating, it is not automated and it is not against the Tos/ToU

Hey people.....No one cares what you think or how you define anything. If the publisher says that something is not against the rules then it is not cheating. Figure it out. Use your brain. If the devs say its ok...then no one cares what "you" think the rules are. They make the rules. If these rules offend you or your playstyle then find something else to do.

This. I cannot give this enough props. This is the point I've been trying to make since the beginning of the thread.

okay after dissing multiboxing yesterday and I decided to try it out last night so I can have first hand experience.

downloaded some program called "ISBoxer" and followed a guide some guy created specifically for POE. Took me about 15 minutes to setup and an hour later I was farming ledge with 5 fresh characters.


after about an hour of farming I found like 10 alchs 4 chaos and some pretty bad unique gloves and a crapload of rares. Never before have I had that kind of farm even after leveling 3 characters to lvl 60+

the controls were kind of confusing at first but the trick is to use all range characters and shift click to attack and it becomes easy mode. When you change zones you need to make sure your characters stack up first before you click.


No wonder the guys multiboxing on a regular basis are defending it so much..wow amazing farm and easy to control...

3? You're either not playing enough or not lucky enough. I think my first 3-5 uniques were rings and necks I got just getting my first characters to Merveil solo.
