I don't understand GGG's attitude on the cutthroat world of Wraeclast.
On the one hand scamming and stealing is not only tolerated but acceptable and in keeping with their game design. On the other hand you can get banned by saying the wrong thing in chat channels. Now we are not talking about the forum here, but in game (in Wraeclast). In keeping with their idea of a cutthroat world surely, naming and shamming and any kind of verbal abuse etc should be acceptable as long as it is in game. Or is it political correctness gone mad (as usual)? Where calling somebody names is more serious than stealing their belongings. I am not saying this should be allowed, but then neither should scamming and stealing. Does this stink of hypocrisy and double standards? What do you think ? There is no such thing as "scamming" In path of exile. There is supply and demand oh and also common sense. Trading/selling a service in path of exile is about how desperate the seller/buyer is. Then there are jealous people who cant seem to farm/flip currency. For the life of me i have no clue how you ppl still cant be rich in this game. Perandus, Breach, Legacy, Abyss holy shit golden days of trading. Never has it been easier to make currency in this game. Oh my bad it was actually easier when 1 ex was 20-23c along time ago, yea that chaos recipe value was OP as fuck. Still sane exile?

You and GGG are using different definitions of "scamming" "stealing" and "ok". It's no wonder you don't understand. You're literally using a different language than they are.

Just because they don't make everything 100% anti scam does not mean they condone it. Besides you really want to give those people (Wich are like 1 in 10k people) attention?

You want to have an environment where everyone or at least a huge majority feel comfortable. If 10K people would get banned for cursing in PoE right now, the game would meet it's demise quite quick, especially since the players are adapted to not feeling restricted to use rude expressions. As an example I am getting weird vibes myself. I always liked Path of Exile for how it free it feels but the PC is getting INSANITY levels everywhere. Soon you have to be a robot if you want to have the privilege to chat. Warframe = insta 7 day ban for ANY rude word. 50% of PoE players would get banned at least once there, no joke. Even single words in mature context get you an instant 7 day ban without warning. "Fuck" "Gay" "Trap" etc. LoL = insta 2 week ban for typing "kys" but not as crazy as Warframe. PoE = Probably chillest around but slowly getting more "safey spacey". I do understand if they add filters and restrict a bit. Business wise it's a smart move but I hope it doesn't reach Warframe / LoL levels in PoE. exactly. People who make others feel unwelcome consistently will be asked not to play their game. They even have a label you might see applied to these people from time to time.
