You only got 550 points once for both packs before. Now you get 550 EACH. There's nothing wrong with it. You just have to see it for what is it, two supporter packs.
So if we would buy this game for 60€ you would shut up about it right? I mean those 550 points mean not much when single item costs half of it.
Heck check the rift game where devs gives WHOLE GAME for free but a single pet costs 100€ lootbox.
Everyone would rather buy the game and pay a lot less for expansions than get "free" game where what you want to buy costs more than AAA games combined.

The game is free though, don't know what you're about. Supporter packs and mxts are cosmetic and add 0 to the gameplay experience.

Im sorry, but this is absolutely incorrect.
PoE almost in its entirety is about creating characters, and for plenty of people (myself included), how that character looks, has alot to do with your gameplay experience.
Without spending any money on armor sets and/or skin transfers, most characters would by design look like dogshit.
Regarding the game being free, i can only speak for myself when i say that F2P games, are usually the most expensive ones for me, simply because of the cosmetics.

Yeah, this is an observation I've noticed as well. This game is great, but the price scheme here is very annoying. Everything is (by many gamin purchase comparatives) overpriced. For example, the new map tab. 15 bucks US. I can't bring myself to spend 15 bucks on that.
When things are on sale, I have an easier time spending what points I have, but again, the idea of spending 20 bucks on maybe ONE skin or skill effect is ridiculously overpriced by ANY realistic parameter.
The ONLY reason I buy coins is via supporter packs...which are the exception to the rule of value since you get a full set of skins on top of (effectively) your typical value in coins.
I am THIS close to spending (another 60 bucks) on the new supporter pack, but I'm very annoyed that the armor set doesn't include a shield....and my character for this league is a shield user.

Well map tab is like 20tabs in it. for unique maps also. Its real cheap, but ofc can be waited for discount.

Agreed Xavathos. I mean we are getting a full armour set + back attachment or portal + weapon effect for $5.... because we get $55 of points included. And buying it is 100% optional so I can't really see an issue with this at all. Show me any full armour set with wep eff etc etc etc that you can get for $5 in the shop. It's a great deal.. and again.. it's optional... support or don't. They still give you the whole game for free. They could have bundled these sets together and charged $120 and then there likely would have been more people complaining. They took the time to put together 2 pretty cool armour sets which I think is great. Everyone is entitled to their opinion however and it's just my opinion that if I'm going to buy more points anyway I might as well get a pretty cool kit for $5 worth of those points.

Could you offer a single example of a supporter pack which didn’t include this? If not, why are these packs being singled-out to be criticized? I think the intention is just to ensure that anyone who buys a supporter pack has access to it. Not seeing the problem with that tbh...
As far as I know regarding leagues, both Legacy and Harb packs did not come with soundtrack (i.e. only offered in Atlas and Oriath packs resp).

Ummmmmm.. I purchased the Lich pack because I thought the armour and weapon effect were cooler.. Didn't need a portal skin..... sooooooo... not everyone I guess. and the back attachment in the Lich set is the same mtx spot as wings so in effect we got wings with that set instead of the portal mtx.

I'll have to reconsider the map 'tab' based on what you say webas.
Especially if I end up buying a supporter pack, but the lack of matching shield skin right now is having my teeter on the edge of "no". It's a bit of an immersion killer for 60 bucks.

Coolness is subjective. Value can be drawn out.
In the past $60 league supporter packs, you would get 8-9 items. (note, the armor set 1 item)
In Abyss, each $60 pack grants you 5.5 items (soundtrack is 0-.5).
All $60 packs give 550 points.
As a customer, Abyss packs offer lesser value. Cool or not, is irrelevant in this case.
