I am quitting this game because of kitava
" Agreed. HC isn't for the kind of people that would threaten to leave a game behind just because they died, dying is an inevitable part of HC. |

" Not really for you to say what people should / shouldn't be doing, I for one prefer HC over SC but I do play both (though mostly HC). I do think that OP would be better suited to SC though as his mentality towards death is all wrong for HC as dying is bound to happen sooner or later in HC so it should not really come as a surprise when you do die. |

" I agree that if you aren't comfortable killing a boss it's usually pretty easy to find someone who will kill them for you, and worst case scenario you can pay someone as 2c for a kill is nothing compared to what you'll be making post Act 10. But about Kitava, I feel that all his mechanics are very well telegraphed to the player so death is very much avoidable if you look for the queues and with level appropriate gear and an effective life pool appropriate to the level you shouldn't be getting one shot by anything, though what most people mean by "one shot" is they were killed by multiple hits is a short period of time which can be countered by various things being flasks, CWDT triggers, having good mitigation etc. |

Make low tier maps more meaningful or nerf the shit out of derpava. What a great experience new players have of finally besting the final act boss after 20 deaths to only find end game is dull AF.

" If the challenge is fair HC players will take it if not it's not worth. What if they replace kitava with uber atziri how would you feel to have to lvl in shity zone just to die to this boss after without going into maps ?? Playing HC is an adventure with your character nothing about pride. |

" Still feels wrong. It's like cranking the difficulty all the way up in a single-player game, and then using a cheat code to bypass a particulary tough boss. If the challenge is too hard for you, then why not just lower the difficulty level (in case of PoE - switch from HC to SC)? I mean, I'm a SC player, I used an uber lab carry service once because I couldn't beat Uber Izaro with my FP inquisitor (and I absolutely needed those last 2 ascendancy points to complete my build), and it left such a sour taste in my mouth that I decided never to do it again. Now the first thing I check when looking at a potential build is whether it can do all the labs solo. I just can't understand selecting HC as the most challenging experience PoE has to offer, and then using a carry service to bypass a part of that challenge. Fuck master rotas. Fuck any kind of rotas, for that matter.

I done Kitava on HC, was my first try but I over levelled like crazy. Was still nervous even then. Went in at level 80 expecting to be one shot or two shot etc. Hardly even had a problem though. Crushed Kitava big time. I could see myself doing it at 70 next time.
I don't think it's a reason to quite, I would suggest a build with a few layers of defence. I was MoM hybrid. Think that really helped. |

This OP is funny. Shit build I guess, cuz mine I 1 shot that same act's Kitava and I felt, "That was it? What was with all these people crying about it being hard?" 1 shot him, and I never even got close to being in danger of dying.
I guess, git gud? |

Everytime someone wearing Tabula and lifesprig is ripping to kitava and i watch it on youtube, it makes me happy. 99% of HC players dont even enfeeble her, and then they complain about getting one shot. Just a bunch of newbies. Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.

That's what you get for playing hardcore and not being ready for the reality of death.
