Haven't played SRS since 2.4 or so; how is it in 3.2? Did we get a buff? I don't see SRS in the top 100 of any of the ladders. Is the clear speed for mapping just too slow?

No, you have my most sincere apologies. I did not check the PoB post-ascendancy changes. I don't know why I would assume it would read my mind and just pick out the correct new ascendancies. :)

SRS got a buff in 3.1, and again this league in 3.2. No, it's not a build that will likely show up on the ladder, but that doesn't mean it's not a fantastic build (Okay, I'm biased).

It is versatile. I was able to clear all content last league, and you bet I'm going for Uber Elder. It can be adapted to be a fast mapper, has decent success as MF, and its boss-killing abilities are very powerful. There are also no bad map mods, which means you don't have to re-roll your maps. At all.

You just have to invest, craft, and spend some time getting familiar with the playstyle. It's an all-in-one character does most things very well.

I loved this boss last season. How would you feel about using the avian gear in it this season for the alternating 10-20% moverspeed and double damage chance for the minions?
got a wachter eye with

"14% chance to recover 10% of maximum mana when you use a skill while affected by clarity"

I stoped using level 21 clarity and now using level 1

With more mana pool for MOM, I dont die much anymore.

You guys can try it as well.

I got a question, is huy still working on the 3.2 version of this build?

Nothing changed for 3.2 aside from the Ascendancy. The core tree/build remains the same. There likely won't be a major update to the build itself until Huy comes back and plays another league and can do some min-maxing. It doesn't seem like he will be back for Bestiary. Hopefully next league!

May I ask how you reach 7.8 k life? I guess it is not with the mf gear? Im sitting at 6.7 K with my current gear at lvl 91. Any idea what is missing for that last 1k hp?

Certainly not with the MF gear. :) I only have 5.5k with the MF gear I'm using right now, which is actually pretty nice given the HP of most MF builds is around 3k-ish.

I also do not use Mind Over Matter, I dropped those nodes in lieu of more Life % Nodes, and an additional jewel slot. This helped boost my HP further.

The 7.8k eHP comes from the top end of what I was able to hit last league before fine-tuning my resists to include + Chaos Resist % to be more well-rounded. I got a little tired of switching around gear if I wanted to knock out a Chayula rift, etc. My balanced end game gear dropped some STR (for extra life) in lieu of Chaos Resist. Her end-game eHP for balanced gear was still about 7.5k. Don't forget that your little bit of ES will count towards your total life, too.

Each point of life is actually 3.78 HP (if your talent tree is like mine). So a little goes a long way. Upgrading say, boots that have 77 +Life (about 291 Health per my tree), to boots that have 100 +Life (about 378 Health) is only a difference of 23 Life on paper, but 87 Life in actuality.

Also, dropping the Unset Ring in lieu of a Shaper Amulet with 'Grants 22 Haste) Allows you to use a second Coral Ring with another possible 109 +Life (with perfect rolls).

You can look here and there and find places to upgrade 15-30 +Life and it will all add up.

6.7k Life at 91 is very respectable. You should be quite pleased. I think I'm in a similar place in my non-MF gear. Just keep looking for +Life in small places, upgrade here and there and you'll do great!

Thank you brittleknee, that is what I thought.

Yes the build is working out great and I have got some nice gear this league. Even started experimenting with some gem setup involving culling Zombies since I managed to corrupt a lvl 21 Zombie gem. Swapping Lightning golem from boots to gloves with Offering and removing faster cast speed, desecrate and orb of storms. Theses are replaced by culling strike, item rarity and zombies. Gives you 7 culling zombies and a culling golem. Great MF addition, allowing you to keep 5 dps support gems for SRS.

None of the dropped gems have any huge impact on the build except maybe desecrate for bosses.

Like discussed before it is not currently worth it. I have tested it back and forth this league and the summary is your better off spending the nodes to get more jewel slots. This gives roughly the same hp and much more dmg (with good jewels).

Edit: The current gem setup you are using brittleknee; looks like a huge dps boost (and only requires 1 gem swap for bosses). Is it worth the reduced SRS movement speed?

Is this math actually correct? According to my PoB you have 178% inc life with your tree. That is 2.78 HP per 1 life. so 77 life = 214 HP and 100 life = 278 HP. That is a difference of 64 HP. This equals a increase in 23 on paper and 64 in reality. :D
