GGG hates standard.

GGG made a game that they would love to play, considering that around 75% or more of the people that try it love the game as it is. its only seems logic that they continue there focus on leagues. that dosent mean that they hate standard at all ... just that they love leagues way more ^^

I took the last few leagues off to develope some standard characters, and the biggest thing I see is that they do not include the new league mechanics in standard. It seems really dumb to force people into playing leagues just to do something like breach or harbingers, especially since standard is a dumping ground. Why would it really matter to include everyone in new content when everything gained in those leagues end up in standard anyways?

I like playing leagues but I would prefer the option of taking a league or two off every year without having to miss out on content that may or may not ever make it fully into standard.

You know what would make me play standard? If standard wasn't a literal landfill with a broken economy that gets even more broken every time a league ends.

If they created a new standard league without all of the legacy and temp league shit I would happily play it. Either keep dumping the temp leagues into the old standard, or just void them outright. If an item changes then on the new standard just have it re-roll rather than creating new bullshit "legacy" items.

Exactly Hes so far behind and doesn't know how to make currency so he wants everyone else to forfeit their hard work for his benefit. More selfishness by league players.

Standard players need to email GGG and tell them how you are sick of being treated like sub humans. Stop paying GGG money.

What about to put something like runes in standard game it would be fun to play then that dont exist in ligues so we can play and get mor builds for standard ligue characters. That would be fun for play again after ligue ends. The runes can drop only in standard ligue for exemple and we can put them trough skill tree or you can put extra tab in inventory.

Love this game, but I echo what OP said.

I play standard solely because I have a family and career. I like to play at my own pace and have no use for leagues. Slowly working toward a character.

I don't think it was GGG's intention to penalize us, but the notion that I have to redo all passive quests on my std necro, which I've already earned, is not cool. Obviously I don't know these zones, so it's inconvenient to say the least. Give us a chance to redo acts 5-10 on our std characters if this is the route you're going to take. But in all honesty, what GGG should do is grandfather our points. If we get he entire story completed, why the hell wouldn't we ALSO get the side quests completed?

Secondly, defense nerfs are flat out unnecessary. I'm a noob, but I went from an ES of 10.7k to 7.7k. This is a rediculous nerf, and it should be undone.
Keep it for leagues if you want, but if you, GGG, are going to half-ignore us Std players, ignore nerfing us too. I could stomach not having my passives if my ES was within the same ballpark as it was. Or vice-versa. Don't artificially make your game difficult by needing us. I came here to this game to get away from that type of behavior. Bought supporter early because I love the game. Waited to support further and still waiting based on 3.0. Ball is in your court GGG...
