What is a new league like????

It means your progression gets matched to see how you participate against other players....

Having pvp in a game where you get gear from monsters..and then fight each other mean little to nothing, especially in a game like PoE where you can buy anything with real life money...

In diablo 3 you have to actually play to get stuff, after that every 1 runs the same maps to see how far you can get....

How is that not competitive....

PoE doesnt have ANY RIFTS are you dense? PoE have lots of content to do and a hard content not like in Diablo 3 where is only rifts and nothing else just rifts and 100 levels thats fucking it go back to diablo 3 troll fanboy

Between what you've said and what your profile shows, you've perhaps dipped your toes into the easiest of end-game content, but that's about the extent of it. I won't criticize you any further, but instead will just make a suggestion that may give you some perspective. Run a rare, corrupted guardian map and see how you do. That is a taste of end-game content.

For the start of a new league, it's a chance to see how well you can build up from nothing (and at the start, a much more limited set of good items available for trade), and whether you can accomplish whatever goals you set for yourself for the league (running certain end-game content, completing challenges, acquiring certain items, etc).

Its much harder to gear up in the begin than the end. I just vendored my stash and gave away a few items that were worth something. Didnt even look at what it was, had a few nice jewels that would go for many chaos's.

Expect a 5l in the begin of the season, but dont expect one.

A top player wouldnt be using a white flask :)

PoE's normal leagues are not very competitive, that is true. There are ladders but they are based on character experience and as such climbing them is very tedious. Every now and then there is a race season, which is where the real competition happens. A race season consists of around 140 race events, each of which typically last from 12 minutes to two hours. The goal is to get as far as you can in that time, or sometimes to kill a specific boss. You get points based on your performance and those points will earn you rewards.

Outside of the race seasons there's also the labyrinth ladders which are reset every day and the fastest player to complete the labyrinth will get a special jewel as a reward. Competing on those requires a speedrun build though so it's not something you do on your normal characters.

Diablo 3 also offers better on-demand challenges. You can enter a greater rift of a tier of your choosing practically whenever you want. In PoE a large portion of the endgame consists of farming content that is not particularly hard in order to get keys for the greatest challenges, either by getting them as drops or getting enough currency to buy them from other players. This gating of content behind farming is a large reason for why I haven't even attempted shaper or uber atziri yet.

On the other hand PoE has a much more varied endgame. Diablo 3 has what, 10 tilesets and 10 bosses for rifts? PoE has 30+ tilesets and 60+ different bosses in maps.

If competition is what you want, perhaps it's better to stick to Diablo 3. For additional challenge you could try the upcoming SSF league in PoE and see what it's really like to progress through the content without any help.

sorry but lioneye glare is trash. no wonder you paid next to nothing for it. most, if not all bow build go crit. a 350+ dps with good crit is what you need to look at and it cost a LOT. 15k dps is nothing. a good build with good gear will have 100k+ dps

reach of the concil is also not even close to lioneye glare lol this bow is 100x better. the + arrow is INSANE especialy for TS. more arrow,more shootgun, can remouve your GMP.

for your question. yes when you start a new league the price of most item are pretty hight, at the end of the league price might go down a bit but the thing is....your bow, you didnt paid much because its not really good. yes its a 6l and have hight phy dmg but if you had more knowledge about the game, you would know that lioneye glare is a mid tier bow.

Calling people out when you "claimed" you have all t1 gear and only have some shitty gloves and boots to show off is a bit too much.

In the short time you had our character page available I took a look at your gear.

Aside from the 6l lioneyes glare and the 6s/5l belly rest of your gear is suboptimal for a lvl 60 character let alone a lvl 83 like yours.

So go on troll. You had your 15 minutes of internet fame.

Dont let these negative ppls get you down. If you feel like top you're top. "Law of Attraction" baby it works.

Anyways This is a grinding game, git rich, and you buy items you want.

-1 minute maps and run a few hundred a day
-flip items and currency
-run ppl through bosses they pay
-masters specialist and charge for sevices
etc etc etc
