This game has too much of RNG thing. Just too much RNG everywhere, thats a loss of lots of potentional customers right there.

" Fix to: " I also think there is too much RNG in POE, but I know that lots of people love gambling and thus RNG. So from my dislike of RNG I cannot sensibly infer an overall loss of customers. I guess what I'm trying to say is: Don't mix opinions and facts as though they are the same. Both are valid, but in different contexts. May your maps be bountiful, exile

" RIght, its just a opinion, but threads about map drops for example appear very often. |

" From people who haven't figured the system out maybe... Vaal orbs are one of the best things in this game IMO. I like the RNG, because when you get that super rare occurrence or drop that makes it that much more insane. U MAD?

" I am responding to this quote because i feel it represents the vast majority of comments and lay-people. [Removed by Support]. IT doesn't fucking matter what the Vaal orb says. learn how to read. What the vaal orb says is exactly what this thread is aiming to change. The vaal orb is TOO unpredictable and sets itself in a category unlike any other game. It is too destructive. You and you cohort of bravado's that have posted on this thread have never bricked an item due to a lame ass vaal orb that has costed GGG an untold amount of money. Not eve Everquest has items in game that will ruin months worth of someones time add to that, in general. this game's devs are the most incompetent I have ever seen i 30 years of gaming. Devs- you're really excellent at nerfing. Lets put it to the test. Do you ike making money from your game? Do you ike it when your destructive vaal orbs make someone lose months of time? I could says a big fuck you but i wont Last edited by Nav_GGG#0000 on Dec 24, 2016, 1:57:17 AM

" [Removed by Support] People are FINE with Vaal Orb's current outcomes. And let's get this fact out, because it seems like you have reading comprehension issues. People have bricked items more costly than your Disfavor, so please do not post false information. And no, it has not cost GGG any money, that's just your twisted opinion. Each and every one of those vaal orbs is a clik away from someone quitting

" Bah, fallacy! This game was certainly not dedicated to the weak or the faint of heart, and still isn't!!! They are trying to improve it for the casuals, but it seems you can't start to comprehend that the Vaal Orb is a roulette kind of gambling, with a green 0 for bricking the item that you gambled (your chance of a different outcome is way larger that the one of bricking or no one would use it reliably). Of course you should not gamble if you can't/won't afford to lose, just like in real life, and the feeling that you just beat the odds and made a great item better adds an addictive thrill... Gambling in this game should not be taken lightly, it's one of the most interesting uses of RNG, and it's whole point is a currency/item sink in search for an ideal outcome out of the "Vaal Orb Roulette"... PS: I'm more close to quitting due to technical performance issues, a severe lack of proper balancing, the lack of sense of progression while leveling post 90 due to EXP penalty + death EXP penalty, lack of trade improvements and QoL/polishing missing that keep PoE as a beta level game (not even to mention the botched implementation of trap gauntlets in "Labyrinth", or the fact that mechanical "worth of your time" fights are trivialised by using gazillion DPS speed meta builds), but the way Vaal Orbs work isn't on my radar... It's one of the few things that keep PoE having some actual fun... And I dare to remind you, I'm still a casual n00b hoarder... PSS: Our almighty TencentGGG overlords are very scrupulous regarding criticizing their abilities to take proper decisions and consider everything "needlessly harsh and condescending"... Good to know "free speech" doesn't apply in any form or manner on the forums these days... Last edited by sofocle10000#6408 on Dec 24, 2016, 2:50:04 AM
