Ah well, easy come, easy go. Nothing lost.
BTW: You have not answered my posts in which I tried to be serious. Guess I'll go back to my snarky old self in this thread, as you're really just here to whine and moan and not for a real discussion. So: Tough luck, kid, l2p

I've answered everything I cared to answer. I'm old enough to be your father btw millennial

Then act like it and stop whining like a brat.

So, you cannot answer, figures. If you really were an adult, you wouldn't have started a whine thread over some lost pixels. And if you were my dad, you wouldn't be able to hold a mouse anymore, so stick your silly insults where the sun don't shine, you entitled little brat.
May your maps be bountiful, exile
you gambled, you lost , get over it ;)

you took the risk and that my friend is life, you win some you lose some, dont gamble if you cant take losing.

You obviously don't understand. OP didn't realize that "changes item unpredictably" could possibly ever mean bad outcomes. Therefore it isn't fair that they didn't bother doing research before throwing a vaal at it when the item took them months of "effort" (see: a few minutes of rng luck and a random person being kind enough to not give a fuck and hand out a few free exalts) to obtain said good item. Clearly we are in the wrong because we are all spoiled millennials who are self-obsessed and everything needs to go our way or piss off (how ironic...) for merely disagreeing with him.

Well not sure how to read unpredictably. Because if the outcome can't be negative it would say that is has a chance to improve the item unpredictably, but just a random modification can be pretty much anything, of course the Vaal Orb has a very limited amount of possible outcomes but I'm not sure how I would get the idea that I always like what I get.

Just imagine we would have an Orb that corrupts the item and adds a random keystone, people would complain that they get Avatar of Fire on their Starforge, which basically makes the item worthless but that is what random means, and unpredictably is pretty much the same. When I first read the description I thought that the Orb could really essentially do anything, I even expected it to change the base class, so that you could with some luck turn a really nicely rolled lowlevel base into a good item... which the vaal orb can't do, and this would have implied that a well rolled highlevel base could turn into a lower one as well.

It is basically the same as a game offering me a chance to roll the dice again, I might get something better but it might be terrible.

I get that the post was mostly sarcastic but I often doubt if people even read what those Orbs do. They just assume that since they have value they automatically have a positive effect.
I love me some vaal orb! reduced character size on jewels #1

So unlike your OP it really didn't take 'months of time and effort', you were basically gifted it.

not that your comment or my comment are Germain to this thread but no I was not gifted it. I still put in all the work and time to get this axe.

have stated this multiple times but the people commenting in this thread simply choose not to believe it or ignore it. I didn't simply "not know what vaal orbs do" I had knowledge of what I thought they did and I will repeat that again here:

1. The addition of a stat
2. No change.
3. the removal of a stat.

this was my knowledge of vaal orbs.
had i known that a vaal orb could destroy an item entirely I wouldn't have done it. Also for all you market profiteers understand something. Most players will never even see one exalt orbs the whole time they play

It didn't take you months of effort to obtain the axe. You played for months, got a lucky drop, and got even luckier with someone handing 80% of the cost to you as a gift for no reason. End of story.

You didn't bother researching what vaal orbs did. You got your hands on gear that was well outside the bounds of what your knowledge of the game dictated that you deserved to own. You fucked up so shut up.
