It's time for preleveled/preascended characters to enter the shop or be made available somehow.

For you but not for everyone. No one would be forced to use pre-leveled characters. So I don't think you would have to use it if you didn't want to?

It bypasses 60 levels of potential disqualification. Buying your way past potential death (disqualification from the league) is about as pay to win as you can get.
That's why I don't think it's appropriate for HC too.

Err, what are you winning exactly?

It's not Pay to Win, it's Pay to Play, specifically, to play Merciless difficulty without being forced to slog first through Normal and Cruel with every single character.

Pay to Play is a totally mainstream proposition in Path of Exile. Want to run Atziri all night? The shards are readily available at a reasonable price, particularly in mass quantities. Want to grab those uber-Lab points ASAP? For a modest fee, you can rent convenient escort service to guide you through safely. The only difference is these are independent entrepreneurs you're paying instead of GGG. Considering what a worthwhile commodity a fresh level-60 character would be, shouldn't GGG make some well-earned profit off opt-in player services themselves?

It's pay to cut time ofc and I don't think something like this will ever come. But this league I've been sloppy, ripped 5 chars in maps so far without playing too much. I'm someone who doesn't mind leveling a new char here and there and I got enough currency but the thing that would motivate me the most to keep playing is a shortcut to merciless.

It's especially bad when you rip a char right at the beginning of the mapping phase. Bonus points if it happened due to a CTD.

Not bragging rights, mechanics. Skipping 60 levels of potential disqualification nullifies the whole spirit of hardcore.

I disagree. It's true for your first char in a fresh league to some extend but once you got the usual leveling uniques the only challenge till lvl 60 is how fast you get there.

For arguments sake, let's say that GGG implemented pre-leveled characters for SC but not for HC. At that point there would be a bunch of threads that would pop up saying, why not do the same for HC? Why doesn't GGG want money from the HC players for this? I don't see any problem with doing it for HC as long as it was clear that the character started at level 60 instead of level 1. Again, I don't have a dog in this fight. I doubt I'd ever use this since I enjoy leveling characters and I never play HC. My only interest is an additional revenue stream for GGG to improve PoE.

And this question has already been answered, so let the threads come. It's not a hard question.

Well, then you should be against this retarded idea. Because GGG monetizing on skipping content (leveling, Lab, etc..), is a 100% sure way that those parts of the game would never improve. It would be in GGG interest to keep them bad / annoying / a chore, so that people would pay to skip them.

Anyone arguing OP is a good idea, is at least naive, if not blind.

That's actually a standard in f2p models, and people arguing that tabs are p2w (which I disagree with) already assume that GGG isn't above that.

However, I did discuss this issue already. Should they let players just skip the content because people only care about "end game" while making lots of easy money (which can improve other ares of the game), or do they spend lots of money for questionable returns to make the leveling process worthwhile? Not doing anything is a terrible option, because it stagnates the game, people get bored and leave, and there's no improvement made anyway.

No what's retarded is claiming that GGG will never improve features that lie at the core of both racing and challenge leagues - the "fresh start" that is the fundamental premise of every new league.

Selling Level-60 Merciless characters is at the opposite end of the gameplay spectrum. It's strictly for Softcore Standard stalwarts who've invested thousands of hours and orbs into acquiring gear and leveling Masters. And no one cares what happens in Standard, right?

It seems to me, that's some pretty convoluted logic. If GGG had more development funds then they could more likely afford to improve the leveling content, is the reality of the situation.
