The various posters are right. Why bother? Hardcore deaths should put your character in void league. Anything else is a bruise, not a death in real gaming terms.
Edit: actually, I'm going to propose a four-tier hardcore system: 1. Hardcore lol-lite: deaths mean you get a big picture of Chris Wilson flashing up on your screen saying 'oh you are just no good at this!!' 2. Hardcore very-lite: deaths take you to standard, where you are free to just keep playing the game as if it's never heard of a rogue like. 3. Hardcore lite: your character is taken to void league on death at which point wave goodbye to anything you gained/did. 4. Proper hardcore: on death your character, all other characters and your account are deleted, including any mtx or stash tabs you bought. Harden the f__k up and get back into it ya pansy. Tier 5 hardcore: all of tier 4 and GGG will either -
1. Use your money spent on MTX to take out an ad in your local newspaper saying what a loser you are; or 2. Ask local youths to throw eggs at your house. Imagine what a big ad Charan would get in the paper! |
