1) So am I supposed to be focusing on armor or evasion on gear?

2) Also, if we did want to focus on evasion should we grab phase and acrobat on tree? we go right past it.

3) if we pick up vaal pact, and that takes away any regen, aside from the issue with bloodrage degen, would we also lose the regen from endurance charges? I think for an up close build like this vaal pact would really help with reflect.

Thank you, I will examine each issue

Make sure your resistances are capped. I will be traveling for work for a few days but can help you in game when I return.

Ditch those gloves and get good rare ones.

1) If you have the luxury of correct socket colors then I would go for armor. Since the block chance is good, you just need better physical damage mitigation. This is why I run a Rumi's and a Basalt flask.

2) those nodes are solid defensive ones even if you aren't stacking EVA. Basically choose defense or offense.

3) yes, you lose all regen. I use a LGoH claws so I have a combo of instant and over-time life recovery and find it works well.

Since I am playing HC, I think I will be a little more defensive than you are. Thank you for the response. :)
No problem.

Make life an absolute priority (oxymoronic pun?). Block is great. It only gets you so much defense across the board. Dodge would be a good addition.

You may also want to get into some more leeching nodes, either at the bottom left of the tree or the claw nodes above the shadow start point.

Pick up an Atziri's Promise ASAP because that allows you facetank a lot of shit by itself. It was the first item that allowed me to just sit in a mess of beyond monsters and bosses and melt everything.

You're welcome. It's tough to get both offense and defense. Generally work on the defense first and consider extra offense as a luxury.

An easy way to do this is focus on life and resists on gear less than flat phys damage, attack speed, crit, etc. then at least you can run harder content to farm better items and get more currency to buy the stuff you want.
Hey,

any thoughts on the shaper's touch gloves with this build?

I feel like the life and dmg gain is insane even tho you are missing quite some resistances then.

Cheers

Both Shaper's Touch and Atziri's Acuity (my preference) would be absolutely awesome for this build...but yes they would make your gear even more expensive in terms of capping resists.
Well I feel like I should get some shaper's in the first step. They are a good invest for the early late game I feel. You can get them for ~5C right now.

The Atziri's is a different Story... 15E FML
