There is no way to gate content by difficulty in this game. Your argument is therefore moot.

Of course there is, only because the game currently revolves around clearing full screens within a fraction of a second doesn't mean that's the way it should be. General damage output and AoE needs a severe cutback, then people would realize there actually is a difference in content difficulty. Naturally you can't experience that when offscreening everything most of the time.
