Why don’t we remove trading altogether?
" What the problem with such league? Does it affect one who like trading? No. But instead you force one who does NOT like trading be a part of league where drop rates balanced around trading constantly using idiotic argument "trading does not affect self-found". Yes trading affect self found directly and really really bad. While you can defenitely play self-found, particular goals will take insane amount of time, which just make game unfun. IGN: MsAnnoyance

GGG has already said self found leagues are not going to happen as they dont want to fragment the comunity any further
I mean we already have up to four leagues going at once do we really need six or more? I dont see any any key!

" Self found gang already virtually separate leagues(think about for a moment, they are not part of the market, most time they play solo, see?), making them official does not change shit. Rrrright? :) IGN: MsAnnoyance Last edited by qquno#5118 on May 31, 2015, 1:06:47 PM

" You dont have to trade. Its not a must. This forum is full of people who claim a SFL would be great but no one knows why they need it. |

" To be fair though, self-found players already isolate themselves from the community in non-self-found leagues. Allowing them to migrate to a league that caters to their playstyle wouldn't be taking anything away since they already don't contribute to the community. :P PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! And the winds will cry / and many men will die / and all the waves will bow down / to the Loreley |

" GGG chose to make trading a part, NOT A REQUIREMENT, of the game. I suggest learning how to trade, or just continue playing self-found. It can be done, just don't demonize trading when it is a part of the game that makes things easier. Setting up a shop with buyouts and bumping it before you log into PoE is not a hard thing to do. Stop being lazy. And I'm still waiting on an answer to how "trading affect self found directly and really really bad." " Youre wrong. They chat with others in global maybe, you dont know that. Self found doesnt mean solo either, they can team up with anyone. And why add more leagues? Adds more work for GGG. Would you add unnecessary work for yourself if you could opt not to? |

Not a bad idea. :D

Well maybe because (and really think about this for a minute) your opinion doesn't speak for everyone. Have you ever considered that some people actually enjoy trading? No really? Yes! I know what you'll say "those are only the people who don't play the game and sit swimming in their 20 mirrors in standard league, who cares?" Not true. For example ZiggyD has stated multiple times that he enjoys trading and bartering for items. He's just a named example to avoid using a completely hearsay argument.
For everyone who'd be happy that trading was removed, you'd have more who'd be angry that it'd been removed. Personally I think to remove trading is silly, trading for goods has been around for centuries. Long before currency. People would trade cattle, crops, materials or on a slightly darker scale even humans and/or blood. Trading should be a part of any online game that acquiring items and resources is in, it just fits and simulates a more realistic experience. Could it be done more easily, of course. Just wait, it'll come. IGN: Adrastos (Betrayal) Shaper/Uber Service: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2289614 Last edited by infinityi#4233 on May 31, 2015, 1:21:40 PM

" Well there's nothing stopping people from using global chat or making teams in self-found leagues either. :P And based on what's been discussed in this thread as well as the OP, we only have these three options: 1. Give players a self-found league, allowing them to opt into a league which doesn't have a terrible RNG that enforces trading. 2. Give players an auction house (not the RMAH that plagued D3). This still allows trading, helps encourage self-found players to engage in it due to the added convenience and no worrying about fracturing the community due to more leagues. 3. Do nothing and continue to let the players make more threads asking for a self-found league or auction house. Nothing changes, but the complaints will not go away and in fact might get worse.
