My point regarding the 80+ side of things is that it allows you access to the end game, 66+ maps, where the quickest and easiest farming is to be found. If you can race a SF character to maps in a day or 2, then you are now free to farm for enough gear to put together a more specialised character, who can then achieve 70+ maps, which allows you to farm for another more specialised character who can then achieve 75+ maps. The lack of trade is not a barrier to eventual success and high level achievement (you've shown that numerous times).

Now, whether this is agreeable to you as a playstyle (and obviously wouldn't be viable in a short race like this) is an entirely different question. But when a game is so heavily identified as a trade based one, providing feedback on drop rates and itemisation from the POV of a SSF player is not going to be very constructive, even though these areas do need addressing.

However! I imagine that some of the GGG guys are watching the info-metrics of this race quite closely to see what kind of useful things that can pull out for future balancing and possible itemisation changes.

Self found seems just as easy as playing with trade, it seems like it would be a bit slower to gear certain builds for end game though.
