" D2 is and was indeed a better game. Sadly I already played it for 10 years straight in every possible manner. So there's nothing left to explore. And the mods aren't my thing. What we need is a graphical and content update to D2. Vote +1 to change Path of Exile to Path of Nerfs.

I've had a few mates have a go at it.
The people who stick it out are rare. The rewards for playing are abstract especially early on and reaching that top tier takes a lot of time. Let the games begin

None of my friends play, nor family. Im the only one.
Its like Hardcore mode: 'only one'. I Stay (and will hopefully always stay) cause i want to experience the Lore (Exiles Wraeclast story progression). |

none of my friends really play poe anymore. im like lone wolf mcquade, or at least I like to think so. hopefully, act 4 will bring ppl back in droves. do what you want to the girl, but leave me alone.

Many players I know really stick to first person shooters, or are so deeply involved in a long term MMO that they don't have time for anything else. Of the handful of IRL friends I've gotten to try PoE, most said the game was too hard (complexity and challenge).
My sales pitch for PoE has always been all the options PoE gives you and that the game is challenging. The "Cats on..." April Fool's fun had a few people wanting to try the game, but it was over before they found out. "The only legitimate use of a computer is to play games." - Eugene Jarvis
