This is why I suggested a maximum of 10 mirror copies per item about 18 monthes ago before it gets 10% more chance to get destroyed each further mirror attempt #11-20 (10%, 20%, ... 100%).

This way mirror level items would not be a lifetime moneymachine but still allows the crafter to get something out of his craft before he can stop mirroring it or get at risk of losing the item.

Your analysis is very right that the economy is crap. GGG failed to think things like this through to the end. When the problem became visible (about 18 monthes ago) they still had the chance to instantly take care of it - but they didn't.

My suggestion would in fact be a very healthy thing to do. It would as well reward other players to craft second and third best weapons. There is no reason to compete with these guys nowadays cause if you do not craft the very best and divine it up to the very best with thousands of divine orbs than simply noone will mirror it and you get stuck on it and its costs but always the same guy gets hundreds + mirror fees for one of his items that allows him to craft the next and the next and the next of this kind. It is broken.

I have a couple characters leveled, thank you. Not all of us have the time to play incessantly. however, phone browsing the forums gets my poe jollies off while I am away from my computer or it is otherwise not accessible.

that said, I have ~700 hours on poe?

Then why dont you use your account with leveled characters to post?

What do you have to be jealous of?

there have been quite a few people who turned out to be successful businessmen from playing the auction house in world of warcraft. in poe the economics is even more in-your-face because in here you dont have "soul/account bound" items, you got interest rates, build trends that require specific items and mods on them and also different currencies that are, you could say, governed by two major ones (chaos and ex ofc) just like US dollar and euro irl.

my point is that if you are an introvert you probably have noticed a rather peculiar fact that whole humanity's actions all of them resemble a life steps of every single human being (because humanity consists of people so why shouldnt it evolve just like all humans do?). in this case, you have a rl predatorial economic system and then you have this quite complex econonmy in this game thus you get a two sided mirror: the game resembles a "real" world because thats where it came from so it has preserved the common principles of things so rl scenario repeats itself in here too

I'm not sure if your aware that most crafts fail to make a return on their crafting cost ;v

Also I know no idea how many times you think an item is mirrored, people would post how many times it has been mirrored and their fee on the page itself. It's extremely rare for a person to have an item even mirrored since you know, it requires someone with a mirror ~.~

well since the guy doing the Mirror Service is already holding most of the mirrors on the server in his stash, he can provide the mirror in exchange to its cost in Exalts + the Mirror Fee.
now you should ask yourself "how many people have upwards of 200 Exalts for a single transaction", and the answer is likely "more people than those who have 1 Pure Mirror".
not to mention it's one hell of an RMT encouragement. I hear RMT sites offer Exalts in bulk discounts ;)

It actually does, those mirrored items are the reason MAsters got created.

To help solo and average players to get ok items. The creation of those mirrored items totally changed the game and the dev had to build a gameplay around it.

Then those mirror Tsar people complained the economy was ruined because all those poor could afford mirror quality items and GGG nerfed masters.

Those people are controlling the economy and are the reason of some gameplay changes, both impacting solo gameplay and multi player gameplay.

What's the basis for these claims?
