In all seriousness this game has played fine on:

alienware laptop (was friends from 3-4 years ago)
macbook 13" 2014 model (under windows)
beastly machine from 2 years ago (lol) i5 2700k with nvidia 660 card
My mom's desktop which is similar to ^ except no ssd or desecrate video card.

Both the mac and the beastly machines used SSDs.

John when do you actually play the game because it seems like you are on the forums much more then your total playtime?

I don't have to spell out the business implications of this.



Antnee and Boem are also correct and I agree with having more graphics options that's been long past due. Slayer, I agree that sometimes you can't get around having better hardware. Nevertheless, it doesn't change the fundamental issue that PoE has some serious optimization issues (mostly with particles, loading of assets, and sound). The more GGG puts this off, the worse the game will get over time.

Wanna know how many zenimax has? The company who published the 2x games you referred to in your OP, Dishonored and Wolfenstein

Not to mention having access to an ungodly amount of dev. resources and equipment. As well as pre-established engines that they have been optimizing and tweaking for YEARS.

But please, tell me how great GGG are and how they can realistically compete with that? They cant. So they do their own thing. If that means a few cheapskates refuse to upgrade their potatoes and resort to QQ optimization threads, so be it. I can live with that.

Bring on more content. I wouldn't pay a dime to have further "optimization". Give me a new Act and ill gladly buy another pack. (I suggest you get a new PC before thinking of any packs). Do whatever you will, I don't care much less anyway. The QQ threads about this though are so tired now. If it was going to happen , it would have by now. Get the hint. Ok so they spent time and money developing these affects that work on most peoples machines that aren't potatos and while you have a work around to play the game, your complaining because GGG doesn't want to allow for you to turn off certain affects?

Really I don't see the majority of people complaining on this here forums have any supporter packs what so ever, that means that either 1, you don't support the game or 2, you support so little that you can't purchase a supporter pack (which are the best deals).

That being said GGG can do some things to improve the game, they are in the thread, further bickering won't get us anything.

I know Boem was/is a paying customer.

I wasn't aware you dictated people's welcome? If its that simple ,sure, I think this topic has overstayed its welcome and your points are all redundant, moot or just plain asenine.

PoE's optimization is what you'd expect from an engine made by 3 guys. You seem to have knack for these things, by all means, make us an ARPG in your garage, cant wait to play that. In the meantime, ill play PoE.
