I wouldn't diss baked potatoes.
Wash potatoes and slice them in half (don't even need to peel them), salt them a little on the cut part, take one of those rectangular plates that go into the oven and fill it with cooking oil (or olive oil) a bit, place potatoes downward on the plate and bake until they develop a golden yellow - to brownish crust. Eat as is.
