When a person has ''top tier'' gear
I dont care so I dont assume. Look if some guy making $100 an hour and just wants to own shit in the one hour a week his wife lets him play so be it why would I come down on this poor guy?
I wish this game had AH. So RMT sites would not profit but players instead and GGG would from 15-25% rake. Git R Dun! Last edited by Aim_Deep#3474 on Nov 18, 2014, 2:37:51 AM

" Just going to point this out, any game with an auction house does not stop RMT. It's proven in practice. |

" pretty sure most if not all the RMT happening in early D3, was "official RMT" a.k.a Auction House. it was one of the reasons I left D3 (the other being the game itself) - but at least it worked in stopping 3rd-party RMT. on topic: define "top tier gear". if someone has multiple mirrored and BiS items and he's only been playing for a month - I can take a pretty good guess where they got it from, or where they got the orbs to buy it, from. "Odds are, it could be a new player who "inherited" t1 gear from a player who recently quit. [2.4] Riff Raff - under 1ex Reave RT DoT Gladiator: http://poeurl.com/C6q

" Because official RMT is marginally better then nonofficial RMT ;v, I have no problem with it if GGG sells bind on equip shavs for 200 dollars in the store but it doesn't do a dent to botters/3rd partyRMT. But it did not stop 3rd party trade at all, everything on the black market is slightly cheaper then any rate of the official market. (Why give 15% to blizzard and any money to taxes when you can sell it to someone for 10% less? and have it in cash.) Also in general wealth in this game equates to time with any lucky drops or trading done, if they can't point out any luck or trading they have done (I've found a shav and sold it to make a mf character to farm super fast) then they prob RMT. " Occam's Razor would suggest they found the item over having a job that pays enough to cover the bills and float an online gaming addition that requires top notch gear by purchasing it via seedy and scrupulous means over online websites that require research into validity. Just saying. Last edited by PoofGoof#3481 on Nov 18, 2014, 4:54:44 AM

Depends on what your definition of "top tier" is. If someone has a mirrored item in every slot, I'd be inclined to say there is no way that is legit. Its a statistical impossibility.
I remember a long time ago I said if I was ever stupid lucky enough to get a mirror drop, I'd find some random junk item to burn it on, and then I'd link that "mirrored" item on the forums for trolling purposes. I could see me finding a mirror, linking it in a topic, and ignoring all the lowball offers on it from flippers. Then I'd mirror something like a driftwood club, link it and really burn them up. I'd probably be called a dumbass by the saltier ones who care so much about what I do with a piece of data in a video game. Last edited by MrSmiley21#1051 on Nov 18, 2014, 5:50:14 AM

" yeh well, just that it isnt. game been running for 2 years, theres loads of people with legit BiS items in every slot. |

When I see people flooding Trade chat with "GG Rolls!! ALL T1!!! unmirrored!! 6-Link!!! CHEAP!!!" I instantly assume they have over 100 bots running and theyre probably using some of the exploitable weaknesses of the game to cheat items into the game. I honestly dont think they're even selling the items, they probably turn down all offers.
Whenever I see people ask for over 80ex, I assume they get off on making people look at things they cant afford. Whenever I see people ask for over 200ex, I assume they are actively pleasuring themselves to the idea of how rich they are. |

Because you never see GG-drops in this game. Played alot PoE in the past 4 months and my best item was a Voltaxic... The only way to get good gear is RMT or flipping. Farming hard 78s maps with high IIQ/IIR is just retarded. Thats why i'm just playing trade chat now, buying shavs/windripper/gg vaaled uniques for almost nothing and selling it for 10x more. Thank god this game is full with people who don't know the value of good items ot just too lazy to sit in the trade chat.
