Lvl 77, out of maps, Back to docks? yea right
" Now, this is a statement I would love to be true. I have strong doubts it is true for solo players. It might very well be sustainable for a closed group that runs maps together. Self-sustainability is hard due to several requirements: 1st - to get the map 2nd - to have enough currency to roll it properly 3rd - to actually find something worthy in a map clear Well, I have now gotten more than 50 maps. I have started going into maps as lvl75. Every map bar one or 2 I went early into were properly rolled and chiseled. I still got more lvl66 maps from farming my way to 75 than drops inside maps. Second problem is that it is getting expensive to run the maps because chisels and alteration orbs are quickly consumed. I only got 21 chisels on my way to 75. Time invested to play maps is also not small. I assume that for every map I run, I spend 3 times as much time farming static areas--30 minutes to clear map solo, 1.5 hour to farm docks or Lunaris to get required currency. I still slowly lose my wealth-currency-map after map. On the other hand, I currently have more maps than I can afford to chisel and roll. Unfortunately, price of chisels is so high that selling lvl66 maps for a chaos is just not worthy because the ratio is 3 chaos for 8 chisels, ie. finding 4 maps means I can run 1 and sell the rest. Hardly sustainable in my view. Im not complaining though. Maps are least of my worry. Lack of proper high level content for 75+ players is more concerning me at the moment. |

" supposedly this doesnt affect map drops, however my experience of playing with high quant parties is that maps drop a lot more maps when the average quant is higher. They drop more stuff, hence, they drop more maps............. personally i think if you are having issues getting enough maps to run now is the perfect time to roll another char (or 10) and get it levelled. The economy will level and 66 maps will cost 1 alch in a few weeks. |
