I ran docks until 74 as well, and found a total of 2 maps. RNG is cool, isn't it? :)

Agree with that but there's also good reasons to delay running maps.

You want to build up a small buffer of maps before running them
You need to farm better equipment before tackling the higher level mobs
You need to pick up a few more passive points to get your build viable


It was pretty normal to start lvl60 maps, (in closed beta), once you got to mid/late 50's however with a new char in a new league, you also need to have an acceptable level of equipment to run them....and thats largely determined by RNG on your play through.

Most of this applies moreso to solo players as party players can get away with leeching xp as part of the group.

Just did 5 dock runs, 0 maps, 1% of a level. Awesome time.

These are exactly my finds... Somehow, the XP from Docks at 74 seemed much noticeably lower than at 73. I know there's a formula for this somewhere, so probably this is where you reach that point.

While I have tried a few maps, I also managed to die in one, and losing 15% at these levels is way too annoying, so I'm now in Lunaris 2&3. It's boring as hell, but I did find 2 maps or so :\ Will I use them? Nah. I'll just level up to maybe 78 or so before. From my experience, my char is yet too fragile (bad gear I assume, not enough ES... trading is just annoying, and finding gear... I find everything else but good ES Witch gear lol). Running the maps at their white base item level is stupid, running through a modded one alone might take me hours and I might get unlucky and die lol (boss with regen&allies cannot die mods/archer skeletons/spawned just near the "stairs down", had absolutely no chance whatsoever). So overlevel-overlevel, seems to be the PoE way.

So maybe until I reach 78 I'll get some more maps and maybe some good items. Wish I could get some currency too from Lunaris, I'm 74 and I've yet to see a Chaos/Alch/GCP or better from there, and I've run it these days maybe 20 times. Tried "spamming" the chat and even the forums with the better gear I've found, but very few were interested, and even fewer probably managed to read through the countless offers.

Oh well. I just hope I won't get bored.

Maybe 1 or 2 i could sell but not for 1 damn alchemy. Anyway, docks is in my opinion the worst drop spot for maps :D

Same story here. Farm docks 10 times solo to find one map if i'm lucky. Run it with pubs and either no other maps drop or someone runs off with it then back to farming docks for another 5 hours. You know there is a problem when when the only people who are running end game content are streamers who are getting the maps spoon fed to them by their 5k viewers. I love the map idea as a whole, but something needs to be done about acquiring them.

I'm glad I wasn't trying to be competitive on the ladder. Would make the situation even more painful.

wow. That must've taken all of what, 10 min?

EDIT: Im running lvl 66 maps to farm in, and I get less than 1% exp each map. I also have to use currency on them.

So, I don't know what you think is going to happen.
