[2.0] Crit Mjölner - Stupidly Expensive and Fun. **UBER DOWN**

Idea of the Build:

Crit-Based Mjölner
Insane amounts of DPS
As tanky as possible
Have almost no problems with Physical/Elemental Reflect.
6 Auras + Herald of thunder

We do not take resolute technique

Why crit? Recharge ur flask very fast. Instant leech back with acuity. High dps.


Keystones:

Ghost reaver
Blood magic -> Mortal conviction
Unwawering stance
Pain attument

Skills used:

Do not use quality lighning strike people. We want the bolts to chain, not to pierce.

Lightning strike for aoe and Molten strike for single target dps.

6 linked skill: Lightning strike/molten strike, multisrike, faster attacks, greater multiple projectiles, curse on hit, elemental weakness/enfeeble.

In 2.0 I have noticed that enfeeble is extremely good survival mechanism. I highly recommend using it.

3 Linked skill: Some may still want to use blood rage, but as it was nerfed heavily in 2.0 I will personally drop it. Now in 3 link, Leap slam, faster attacks and fortify. Leap into mob or boss and enjoy 20% dmg reduction.

3 Linked skill: Cast when dmg taken, immortal call, ice golem.

3 Gems in mjölner: Discharge, Arc, Life leech. Note in crit mjölner discharge should come before arc in links.

Auras: Discipline, fire/light/cold purities, haste, wrath + herald of thunder. You need 22% reduce mana from tree and 2 lvl3 enlightens to run all auras. You dont need to link HoT with enlighten.

Note: You can replace shavs with solaris lorica.

Basically you can make this build with 4l solaris and cast curses urself.

Reistance are 80%(fire, cold) light res is 81%. Arc deals over 8k dmg with 4 powercharges.



Normal: kill all
Cruel: Help kraityn (8% attack speed)
Merciles: Get power charge or skill node.

hi im interested in knowing what your crit chance is and what your crit multi is. i love the idea of the getting the instant leech and not having to run RF but you would have to compensate by having high crit chance, crit multi and a decent spell damage base.

looking forward to seeing the math on dps.

I'm lvl 91 at the moment and i was struggling with getting 412 str required for mjolnir but after few tweaks the true power of this build came out. Dominus kill 8s 1st phase,2nd phase around 4s. Map bosses the same. I think the biggest problem at the beginning is atack speed ( im used to 3.5 as with dagger) with molten strike. This build is extremly powerfull ill try atziri today didnt have time last night. Maybe will record something :)

Discharge crit chance is 30% and power charges give more crit chance before they are consumed ofcourse, but it can be hard to calculate dps since u dont always have all 3 charges up when ur discharging. Arc crit chance is 19% without power charges. My crit multiplier is 323%. I do have a mirrored es shield with +100% spell crit too, but i dont want to use it since spell block is just so good, also it has wrong colors :(

Lightning strike/molten strike crit chance is only 8% so they pretty much never crit, so almost always generating charges.

Looks awesome, Currently I don't have my Shavs. I'm wondering, since the ES is so high. Would it be possible to use a Solaris Lorica to map with? If so I want to spec into the build and map untill i get my shavs back.

EDIT: I'll just buy another 5L one for now and won't use curse on hit / ele weak

Hi.. I just sold everything I had to try this build. I respecced my level 81 witch to try it out. Here is my unoptimized gear (shavs only 5L, no Cwdt-IC yet):




So sad I have to farm chroms now. But farming is stupidly easy now. Gotta spend money to make money. and think how much faster the build would be if I had a faster attacks linked to my main attack. i can farm piety/dominus/68 maps so far. Have yet to try higher up but I think ill wait til i at least 6L my lightning strike.

Thanks for the build I am having a lot of fun right now with it and will be following your guide for more suggestions/improvements. The build really is stupidly expensive. It's also stupidly fun and works.

also id like to share im able to receive max block when i pop rumi's. i can acheive max spell block if i reroll my rainbowstrides to 5%. and i haven't even gotten the spell block nodes you got. current block rolls are:

my solution to this was to run a tempest shield as the 8th aura. i can still cast a 6L lightning/moltenstrike fine with 100hp left.

im planning on heading for the crit nodes (True Strike) below the scion haste harrier node. should get there by 84. i like the idea of more sustain from leeching crits instantly. after that probably more crit multi, then es, then last of the aura nodes if points allow.

Yeah i use rumis flsks too. Its really good. Also u dont need shavs ring for this build. Its just nice extra. And yes u can run this build with loricas.

You should consider a atziri flask. Great dps & Leech.

Yeah i have like 20 atziri flaks but never just bothered to use them.
