Have you ever played a better game than this?

I recently play the last of us remastered on ps4 and am currently playing ffxiv and the quality of those games amazes me. It's so far beyond what PoE offers that it makes PoE feel cheap. I bought the pre-release of D3 ultimate evil and I have to be honest I don't know if I'll be able to come back to PoE.
Different game genre but: Shadow of the Colossus
Best game I ever played

It's hard to define "better game". For me stuff like Doom, Fallout, Half Life, Warcraft (RTS not MMO)... have an eternal pedestal that no other game will ever move.

How many times can you play those FPS though. My fav was farCry played through like 20x in a month had enough. The bioshock series I really like too but its totally different. more like an event like a movie than major active participation like a ARPG has. I dont know how to describe it but basically you get way more value for money with games liek these.

How many time you go to FPS forums? Theory craft? nah just mindlessly play.

lol, ever heard of a game called counter-strike?

I had to laugh at this, ok the quality might be better in ffxiv now but it was the game that almost buried squenix, keep in mind that they released it in such a broken state that they pulled the game after launch and basically remade the thing.

Also payed for and played teso...that is a joke of a game, so many more bugs and problems than PoE had at it's launch, and the botting/hacking...lololol

I will never understand why people in this forum keeps confusing a action role playing game with diablo style hack n slash games. ARPG is a very broad term that includes everything from skyrim to mass effect. In that sense i like the witcher 1-2, dark souls 1-2 and morrowind far more than PoE. In therms of hack n slash ARPG PoE is my favourite. Of course if we are talking about games in general, i like baldour's gate, planescape torment and half life far more than PoE as well.

Planescape Torment and Fallout 1 & 2.. lordy lordy.

The Sims
aRPG is generally referring to a specific type of game. It is like how role-playing games do the same. I could technically say I'm role-playing as a plumber, but Mario will never be a role-playing game. Or how a game can have strategy, but it isn't a "strategy" game.

I suppose if you want to get technical, "hack and slash aRPG" is a more specific term, but out of all the people I've ever had a conversation with and the term aRPG came up, it referred to a very specific set of games, the hack and slash part not needed.
Runescape before they turned into 3D
