It is hard to say if some game is better than the other, but my list is:
Warcraft II&III, Fallout I&II, Caesar III, Diablo III and PoE

And then there are tens of other, good games that kept me playing them for months but not years.

Nowadays, PoE is almost the only game that is on my mind, I love it. However, I have played games since my uncle bought the NES 8bit console for me and my sister some time in the 80's.

Since then I've gradually progressed through console and PC games over the years. There has been so many good games and its very hard to rank them up against eachother imo. And I dont even remember the names of half of them so im not going to start listing them up because I couldnt. My memory isnt too good these days.

I guess to list a few of the recent games that I have played along side PoE is possible. CS:GO, Skyrim, SC2, D3, Arma 3, Divinity, Rogue Legacy and more, all of them good, but none of them tops PoE in /played.

Also play a decent amount of Minesweeper every day, mostly on my phone at work :p

D2 on pretty much all fronts when it came out.

D3 in terms of itemization and combat fluidity / enjoyability.

But never a better character development system in terms of "let's try something new today". Though in all honesty that wears off after about an act into cruel so /shrug

well, i was kinda generic in the original post; i was talking about ARPGs!

i usually separate games by their genre, can't compare different kind of games imho, since they offer different things to the players!
