With 450 str and decent gear (80~ hp per piece) you only need a Belly + 150% life from tree to hit 5k hp on lvl 80.
So yeah, it will be a really popular chest piece.

wow some of you completely missed the point of this thread.

He is using the maximum amount of life you can get with 1 set of gear pre and post patch.


OBVIOUSLY if he uses cheaper gear he will get the SAME results and those are that endgame life is about 10% or so less than before.

If before you had 5k life, expect 4.5k now.

The point of the patch was to normalize HP values.
Reduce extremes like having 8K hp and having 2K hp players.

It should normalize in the 4-6k range now for everyone except those running legacy kaoms.

New meta will resolve around huge CI numbers... bcoz its easier to stack and on some point of farm you just dont care about any of the cons of CI. They dont matter bcoz only thing left is spike dmg and spike dmg can only be mitigated using huge life pool.

Early-Mid game = life
EndGame = ES by a huge margin.

Armor is useless vs high dmg. Acrobatics equals that 1 hit RIP. Mom requires mana which was nerfed. Evasion (see Acrobatics).

Best defence is being able to take that hit and get full ehp as fast as possible.

Nothing changed - still you have to stack EHP. Doesnt matter if its es or life.

I don't see a big difference tbh.
ES always had higher buffers, there is a claw build with 12k es in the forums at this moment.

That doesn't stop life chars from doing atziri with 6k life.
Or MoM users doing her with 4k life and 2k mana unreserved.

One guy did atziri without capped resist and 2.7k life by leeching fast enough. If he can do it with 2.7k life while others get demolished with 6k it's obviously that the damage is meant to be dodged.

Not that i am not happy to see the tree changes because i will probably roll CI, but saying it's superb to life without even knowing the whole patch notes is not valid.

So everyone should be the same..... ye, still a terrible idea, but that isn't what it's been done for, it's been done because GGG want to let us get the same life as we can now with more points to spend on other things. The problem with that is the fact that it only works if they increase base life and leave the tree HP the same, instead they nerfed the tree too so now you have to spend just as many points, if not more, on HP. This whole thing is one giant failure and GGG need to just revert this, it's a waste of time when anyone can see the bullshit from a mile away.

This was certainly the impression I was under as well. Either that wasn't actually the goal and we misinterpreted what the intent was or it appears they have missed the mark by a decent margin. Hopefully all will be made clear in the next 7 days.
My build got buffed from 2k to 3k hp with this change.
