It's like saying oh look at my ton of hp with a LEGACY KAOM and 600 str and +100 life on every gear piece.
Or do you think 1k es chests / 500 es shields and 200 es boots/gloves are 2c each?
In ambush 200 es gloves were like 5-6 ex easy.
These es items are craftable with new recipes ... and cost 1 alch to 6 chaos each. You only need to find/transmutate good first roll
Also with medicore gear for 2-4 ex you will be able to hit nearly 8-9k es while same cash life build will hit max 3k ;>

What a travesty.
You seem to have some comprehension issues, with less than ideal gear, you will actually see an increase in life for mid tier builds.
The patch increases the base life, which means that the more base life you had, the less of an increase you will see and the other way round for a build that had less base life to begin with. Every lifenode will now also affect your life more, compared to before.
But you can feel negatively affected, if thats your thing.

How hard is it to comprehend that the OP's analysis is based on pay2win BiS bullshit?
I've ran a couple of examples myself and it always seems to come up with less life once 1.2.0 hits, or very close. Definitely doesn't look like a buff to life. This is the same shit they pulled in Anarchy/Onslaught. Buffed life per level from 6->8 and nerfed life nodes, leaving us in a stalemate. Later they buffed life nodes and left life per level at 8. Seems like they're making the same exact mistake again.

With 150% life increase with a lvl 80 char you have over 2.5k life now, without any life gear. So no, you won't hit max 3k. With 150% life increase on lvl 80 you need exactly 3 items with over 80 life to break 3k.
Not including str bonus.
So yeah, gz, you hit maybe 8k es while having 0 armor, 0 evasion and 0 dodge. Meanwhile a life build is rocking a Lighting Coil or MoM or Acrobatics+Spell Acrobatics and Evasion and not getting shocked / ignited and chilled all the time.
Do you even know how annoying chill is on CI without Auxium? (which averages 20ex)
CI needs to have a larger buffer, as you cannot use a potion or use advanced mitigation. It has always been like this.
It also has to use that obnoxious amulet or go all the way down left to US.

And yes, this pretty much. You can expect people to go CI on the start of the new league, then die in droves and switch back to life. With potions, stuns freezes shocks and burns, CI NEEDS much more base value, people just assume it works the same as life.
