This thread makes me feel like I'm doing pretty OK in PoE. Been playing 9 weeks and already seems I'm not at the poorest rank by most standards. Got 2 ex in the stash that I've found and have traded for and spent another 2 ex, plus there's about 500 alts, 110 chaos and 6 sac sets... 5L Daresso's Defiance and 5L Lightning Coil plus Bringer of Rain, Abyssus and some pretty decent (to me) rings, decent dagger and pair of claws... Atziri's Step boots plus 4 or 5 other pairs of 30 move speed boots with dual resists or some other useful stats (love the move boots!) I'd guess probably 10-15 ex total in gear plus the above mentioned orbs. Of course I might link my stuff and you guys would say holy crap, that's worth more than you think! Or maybe the other way... dude you got crap rolls on EVERY piece! lol I do trade a little bit but usually just when I'm looking for a gear upgrade or if I have a bunch of alts to sell off or whatever. Lately the orb exchange rates on Torment have been getting kind of wacky so I'm just hanging onto what I have hoping I'll come out ok on relative total value once Torment ends. I did create a char on standard to watch the trade chat and I'm guessing I won't be buying any useful gear for quite a while! But any wealth to me is really a means to an end. I'm way more concerned about being able to gear up to survive and kill effectively because that's what I play the game for. Trade game... not too interested in that! |
