Why is the economy on this game broken and how to solve it

Its broken because Poe Has 0 incentive towards making newer players learn recipes and learn them via lets say quests and such, hence we get overloaded with people who have 0 clue how to make stuff out of there items so they sell there orbs at super low ratios for chaos/exalts, good example is people STILL trying to buy regrets 1:1 in standard when its 2c:1reg hell sometimes i sell 10 regrets for 1 ex on standard... that's mostly because people noobs but still there are those people hunting to scam noobs out of there orbs constantly that's basically ALL trade chat is, a place were you get scammed enough until you learn to play.


Also you overprice your items, for example Solaris lorica your trying to sell 5socket 5link is far from worth 5ex your asking for in default you can get 6socket 5link one for like 2-3 ex... sure people try sell them for 5ex but gl with that alone on poe.xyz there are few at 3ex. , your andy is prob worth 5-6ex but alot of people sell them that and cheaper i know because i spend 1-2hours watching trade and use google. you can buy perfect roll andy for 10ex silly right? but its default dump league don't expect anything less.

Sure, ultra-expensive items (30+ exa) sometimes take a lot of time to sell, but those worth just a pair exalts max dont. If you get asks about item constantly, but offers are too low, perhaps, you just want too much for it?

1. is a good suggestion.
2. is subjective and possibly bad advice depending on what you prefer

Leagues are made for no-lifers and people who need a reset to be/feel competitive. (Let me help you guys out, you're not competitive if you need the reset to feel competitive)

Modification to #2: Try all leagues/modes and see what fits.

I played Domination and got to level 90. Found Soultaker(2 as a matter of fact), Crown of Eyes, 5 exalted orbs, etc.) and did not feel the need to reset my progress as a casual. I just want to build things and stomp monsters. Standard makes more sense for me. Leagues might make more sense for someone else. Same goes for standard vs. hardcore to tie this back to your #2.

OP doesn't understand how Walmart works.


Sell more shit for less. You spent two days not selling a damned thing. You could have let that item go for 10c or bartered for 15c and been on to selling your next item now.
