Why is the economy on this game broken and how to solve it
" Standard is fine if you dont trade. The game as a whole is better without trading at all and just killing monsters. Trading should be about getting rid of unwanted items and not be the main game as it is now for so many wannabe wolfs of wall street . |

" I am sorry man, but my experience with YZX it is not that. There are two major indexers that people use a LOT everyday, because spamming on the trade chat SUX. That is why they exist and it works very well. I never go to to the spamtradechat unless I have to buy some currency off a flipper to craft something. |

" I am not any WallStreet wannabe. I just want to save up to get better equipment, or get enough currency to dream about crafting something someday. But this way the game feels even more blocking, if it's based around trading because the drop rate is really low but you can't sell your stuff ... whatever |

When nobody wants to buy your item for 20c, it means that the item is not worth 20c, easy.
Also from my experience, 2-20c items generally don't sell at all on Standard. I am selling either better and more expensive items or 1c trash from my chaos recipe tab. |

" crafting orbs sorry i mean currency for the most part are not used either so they olso tend to loose value. the risk vs reward of current crafting is way to big, if a 6 link cost 6 exalts or 1-6k attemps with fuses most persons will go for the safe bet only real solution to increase their worth is to reduce rng in the crafting process, if a 6link where to cost 6 exalts or 1-1300 fuses (each fuse used in the item increase the chance) then people will be more likely to use those fuses rather than trade them for exalts to buy the 6l as for the original post is not surprising people are poor, unless you are playing the traders/MF way odds are you will be ultra poor. to give you an idea, in the time i have been playing i have found at best 2-3 exalts worth of currency. transmuting alterations to fuses and then selling them or playing my MF summoner and then selling the good stuff i can get that wealth in less of a month. self found league fan http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/324242/page/1 Last edited by caboom#7201 on May 25, 2014, 2:49:11 PM

Most items listed on XYZ are overpriced, because if they weren't they would have been bought already.
So the prices on XYZ are a good indicator that you should price your item LOWER than that. i use a secret account because i am a politician that doesnt want the NSA to know i play poe.

" How can you possibly say you're not overpricing it? Do you understand how an economy works? WE determine what your item is worth, not you. If you're asking 20c for something, and everyone you talk to tells you they won't pay more than 10c, then guess what? THE ITEM IS ONLY WORTH 10C!!! They're not broke. Not everyone you talk to just happens to have 10c, but no more. They're simply not willing to pay anything more than that so they're telling you they can't afford more so you stop asking for more. Asking for more than people are willing to pay doesn't point to a broken economy. It points to overpriced items. |
