Smartasses use cyclone exactly for that reason and to avoid being stunned in addition. It also gives them the feeling they actually play the game. It's a skill, you know, you activate it and control it, something spins up there, stuff happens and all. It also looks more manly than "walk only" at the skill bar.
I imagine your build requires you to press 10-button sequences with different duration required between each button ... when clearing mobs. When fighting a boss, you probably came up with a 20 button sequence combined with a movement pattern, and requires you to use your leg to control the mouse, and you chin on the spacebar for some reason... that'll make you feel that you are really 'playing' the game.
