How this game will survive
" I actually spent a "lot" on excellent Gratuitous Space Battles and all the different factions. That game is amazing, you can spend all day playing it without getting tired of it, especially the galaxy conquest. Btw, a new faction is coming out soon, Parasites, it looks fantastic. I think that there shouldn't be any "awards" for creating a game, just reviews, who the hell awards games? I am pretty sure we have more important things to do... like play them.
I love virtual brutality so save it for the Mobs...

So this game is gong to have buy to be good features? Kinda a dissapointment for me, but whatever, no big deal. I would rather it be cosmetic things and such. Or quite honestly, I would rather pay full price for a game and never pay anything else.

" Grinding Gear have stated many times that they are strongly committed to maintaining a fair game. They have said there will be no "buying power" or anything like that. No items, no stat boosts, no exp boosts. The shop will be cosmetic changes only, but they have said that they might offer something like extra character slots per account (Right now the limit is quite high, over 10 - and you can always make a new account for free) and possibly an extension to the (already quite large) storage. I would of been happy paying 30 quid for this just so you lot know...but as GGG are so bloody generous I'll be paying at least that into the CS and most likely more to support those damm fine chaps :)

If anything, the fact that classes don't have unique skills reassures me because it opens up customization by a large part, if you see something in a martial arts flick... you want to do it... same with characters they see something awesome that'd be useful and their like "Hey I don't have my head in my ass, I can at least try."

This game looks great and hopefully they'll figure out some way to keep the servers up and running, I think this game will be one of those that comes from nothing and explodes into the gaming scene. Making it really famous.

You should take a look at League of Legends, a big example of cash shop done right and they recently got a 400 million investment.
