Omg, I LOVE Bubble Bobble, and Civilization! Totally in my top five. Ah but the three games that I would have to pick would be 1:Caesar 3, 2:a tie between Age of Empires 2 + conquers expansion and Medieval 2 Total War + Kingdoms expansion, and 3: Monkey Island Series

Breath Of Fire Iv
Final Fantasy Tactics
Cabal Online
Halo 2, or Halo 3

Diablo II

Oblivion

And sneaking in a fourth here; Starcraft Brood War.

D2 and Brood War were my childhood, Halo 2 was amazing, as was 3, and I couldn't stop playing Oblivion. (Much to my dismay, I could, however, stop playing Skyrim.)

1. Deus Ex (original)
2. Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines
3. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
My Keystone Ideas: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/744282
1. Fallout
2. Half Life
3. System Shock 2
If GGG chickens made an action RPG, what would it be called? Path of Eggxile, a Peck 'n' Slash RPG.
Why was the helmet spluttering? It was a coif.
1. Contra: Shattered Soldier
2. Super Castlevania 4
3. Bionic Commando (2009)
Adjusted for gameflation,

1. Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
2. Kingdom Hearts 2
3. Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker

Just my opinion, of course.
1. Baldurs Gate 2
2. Dwarf fortress
3. TES 3: Morrowind

EDIT: was a close one between D2 and Morrowind ;)

Honestly, with as many games as I've played, to nail down actually 3 is hard. I could easily give you the best 1 game I've ever played (imo, of course)

After thinking about this while reading through this post, this is the best list I could come up with.

#1. Planescape Torment.

I've never played a game with such a rich fleshed out story. Some people used to say "It's like playing a book, if I wanted to do that, I'd read a book" and etc, but that's the best interactive book I've ever played then. Great story, great characters, great gameplay, great humor, great system.

R.I.P Black isle and the original core team that brought this beauty to the waking world.

#2. The entire Baldur's gate series thus far. (cheating, 2 games, 2 xpacs I know I know)

I like to think of it as one epic adventure because of the way the game was set up. I remember this being one of the first games I played that had portable characters and you really got the feel of continuing the game experience from then on.

Cannot wait to see what Overhaul games does with this in the enhanced edition. I know there had originally been a 3 planned, but got scrapped, so maybe after enhanced BG1 and BG2 + xpacs are done, we'll see a 3 in the works. That would be just fantastic.

#3. This is much harder, but I would have to honestly go with WoW

I hate to use it cause of what it is, but I have to admit, even though I've stopped playing for a little while now, and have no intentions on going back if d3 gets better, or this game keeps me happy (Won't even go into the details of what that entails) and truckin' along. Best community I've ever played with when I was lucky with certain guilds, and the only game that I've played where I still keep in contact with a good majority of the people I played with then. Fun playing together in that one.

There are so many other games that I enjoy, but in terms of what kept me playing and what was fun to me, these three are really my tops until something comes along to kick wow out of the #3 ranking
Diablo 2
Anno 1404 / Dawn of Discovery
Sacred 2
