I can't really answer this question as I don't feel able to compare across genres. I can't tell if my favourite mmo(eve) is better than my favourite rts (Rome TW) because they are just to different for any comparison. There are also classic game which have been surpassed as games, but still deserve top positions for being the inspirational parents of all the newer, better versions. So I will just answer with probably my one favourite game of all time, dual genre: resource management games/roguelikes
