D3 ROS loot/end game better then POE

The shitstorm that happened when d3 was released will happen here too. The trolls will come here and attempt to dumb down poe again. See: loot allocations.

Grim dawn and lineage3 and/or Eternal can't be released soon enough. Slackers.
POE is a constantly evolving game, so expect balance changes, buffs and nerfs STILL!

If you think giving parties the option to play the way they want to play is "dumbing down poe" then you're just pretentious. Sorry.

That's the way the game has been designed since close beta. People back then were complaining and they complain now. Guess what, GGG doesn't want to change the map system, or else they would have long ago, so they like it the way it is, and no amount of whining from people on the forums will change that.

Just like the whining about fusings, self found and death penalty will not change the fact that they remain in the game.

Take it or leave it, its your choice.

To be fair to both sides, the above bolded have been tweaked a few times in compromise situations.

There has been work done on gambling the mid level stuff and recipes as well, which in turn also benefits self found and the death penalty also got a looking at,not to mention the loot incident.

All of which was bought about by player feedback. While GGG most certainly has a specific vision and develop toward it,they also certainly know through feedback on the live servers whether their ideas for that vision are working or not and adjust accordingly.

=)

True that, it has been tweaked. Just like map drop rates have been increased since closed beta.

But the core stays the same.

Fusings will be RNG

Trading will stay in the game (might get a 1 week self found)

Death Penalty is still there.

And Maps will rely on drops.

It's basically the backbone of the game, if you have a problem with that, the game isn't probably for you (not meaning you now personally but you in general).

I just want people to understand that it is okay to give feedback but not demand any changes, unless they actually are breaking the game (like crazy bugs, exploits or balance issues).

And some people here have the attitude "if you don't change X I'm not gonna pay anymore!!!!"

And I really fucking hate that. Yeah okay, don't pay but no need to tell that publicly since it sounds like you are blackmailing GGG.

You know what annoys me after awhile?

The devs getting the same feedback basically everyday and then by all appearances completely ignoring it. You can keep your vision of the game and still make certain changes or leagues to appease the constant complaints.

Or if they can't or won't make certain changes they should make a write up like in the old dev manifesto to clarify once and for all.

He did say "kindly."
It's worth noting that +2 maps are a dangerous thing.
They can cause players to get out of their depth -
playing maps that are too hard for the items they currently have. Herp Derp.

It's classy considering I could have said it even more bluntly, but I temper myself for those few who play both D3 and PoE here. I don't get you guys, srsly.

People who want instant gratification don't need to ruin the game for people like me who enjoy the game the way it is. Simple as that; if someone else came over to your place and said, "Hey, you're having fun? Fuck you, this isn't fun." I'd say "Kindly fucking leave pelase." It's in my right to defend what I enjoy. Call it selfish or whatever, but I'll keep paying to enjoy this game. You can have Diablo 3 if you like it so much, it's there -- go on. Go.

The devs don't respond to feedback like this because they've already pretty much said, "Nope, we aren't gonna do it." You can keep whining but it won't change their stance. Or at least I hope it doesn't.

I managed a small multiplayer mod for a while. People would make huge threads on stupid shit all the time. The mod was better for it because as a dev I stayed reserved and didn't give into popular demand. Sometimes popular demand is right, but what D3 is PoE ain't. Different niches, different tastes. If you want D3's end game, you already have D3. If you want PoE's design philosophy, it's here for that.

Can some aspects of loot be improved? Sure. I hate how they gutted some uniques in the latest patch. But most feedback like the OP is pointless, unfocused and blantantly bad for the game; it's not constructive especially when you're all hurr durr retarded by even mentioning D3 here! So, I have no constructive thing to say in response besides, kindly fuck off. Thanks for understanding. And just do it. If you ruin this game for me, will you make up the money I've been contributing on a monthly basis ontop of what you might already give? I doubt it. Will D3 drones flock here to make up for the lost players by emulating D3? Nope, why would they if they have the "smoother slicker Blizzard game" to play?

If anything, PoE should try to be D3's polar opposite, to capture as much as the untapped niche for ARPGs as possible; not emulate.
