Guise guise. I got a mirror drop on the way to Act 2. This game is very easy....

lol seriously?

@KenshiD
I am just stating my opinion. I played a 350 iir/120 iiq summoner before the expansion, and other than selling unid rare sets for 2 chaos and trading the chaos upto exalts, I found no other specific use of iiq/iir. All I see with increased MF is more trash rares (and occasionally a good rare in 100).

Friend of mine actually did get a mirror in his first placethrough on normal way back in open beta. It only took me about 4 months of 5+ hours a day (3 of which he quit playing) to catch up in wealth.

Game's balanced, guys.

He is one of the luckiest people in PoE in that case. I would not even dream of it, bceause there is a higher probability of me winning the $1m lotto than dropping a mirror :P

Even exalt drops are pretty fucking rare. If I had to compare the efficiency of dropping an exalt tp flipping orbs for one, I'd say 1:50.

I was having a hard time building wealth back in closed beta till I realized that the secret lay in hunting in the trade chat rather than hunting in the dungeons. I remember doing boss runs like a fool, being accustomed to D2/median.

That's some luck. I found one in a barrel, in normal ship graveyard in CB a few months after I started playing. Never used it in the end, gave it some random guy in global chat a month before the end of CB, it's a bullshit item anyway.

Im really loling that this thread is still ongoing, like what the fuck people? Is it too hard to see op is massive troll?
So anyone with a differing opinion is a massive troll now?

Back on topic, totally agree with what the OP posted. In PoE when a unique drops it's pretty much vendor trash (you can argue all you want but in your heart you know it's the truth), for RoS when a unique drop there's a chance that it can actually be USED. If not you can salvage it for mats and properly CRAFT and item, not waste orbs that takes days to obtain only to be used and wasted in a matter of seconds due to rng layering.
Also way more fun to run bounties/rifts than to do maps and pray that more maps will drop. At the end of the day PoE is getting slaughtered by its own economy, some ppl love it, i however find no joy out of it.

All of you people have an obsession of loot this and upgrade that that completely kills the point of why you play arpgs. It's the complete enjoyment of ACTUALLY killing monsters. I don't kill monsters to enjoy the loot that comes out of them, I kill monsters for loot that will allow me to kill more monsters or kill more monsters in different out ways.

This literal obsession of higher numbers puzzles me and D3 and PoE are both really good games. I play both because the games are extremely enjoyable in providing me ways to kill monsters and different ways of killing them as will as a sense of progression that I'm getting more powerful.

The reward is fun, I enjoy playing the games. Fucking pixles on the screen aren't "rewards" They mean nothing to me, they don't provide me anything in life nor do they pay my bills. I'm not "rewarded" with loot, the game has to be rewarding in fun. I play single player arpgs or games that give nothing to you at all or anything to be competitive with people. I don't need a "reward" to play them, they are just fun to play.

You on the other hand need to go play WoW or something.

And yes I also played WoW with max level characters and end game raid gear with high rankings in pvp.

1) I kill monsters just cuz I love tearing them apart. This game provides me this specific entertainment I crave. Just like shooting drones in a meaty fps. So in that way we are similar.

2) True. This game seems to be crowded by WoW-veterans who took their brainwashed videogame view with them. WoW really destroyed MMO's and it is now destroying other genres as well due to that fucked up mentality. How else can one explain why you see the following terms continuously on these fora: 'crafting', 'upgrade' and 'endgame'.

Lol, in endgame, WoW is (at least, WAS 2 years ago) indeed a HARDCORE game, where skill matters, not just your gear level. Both in raiding and PvP.
PoE just cant be a hardcore game will all that lags and desyncs. You cant apply your skill while desynced, even if there is a possibility.
WoW is known as one of the best MMO ever, and every second-rate MMO tries to copy it.

Any excuse is good enough to get drunk and sing old songs until dawn.
