Please add loot rules. (Need or Greed, FFA, Loot Timers, etc.)

Loot is fine. Come on really? This isnt an mmo or D3. We don't need every single game made to be exactly the same. Some games have different rules than others and if you don't like those rules then you dont play those games right? If those small timers they put on the items that drop with your name on it isnt enough then i guess you need to pay more attention to what your doing in game. Again, loot is fine, we dont need this specific part of the game screwed up with a rolling system for everything that drops.
NO.....

Leave it the way it is period.

Yes I will keep taking your "lootz" because I'm melee and I can :)

Don't like it? Stop playing glass cannon then and get your hands dirty ;)

Just because some other caveman built the first house doesn't mean you should keep living in the cave. You should advance with them and benefit from the things they've learned to perfect.

I suggest you read previous comments in this thread. Most of the problems or opinions you bring up have been responded to.

As to loot timers. I don't like them, I don't think personalized loot belongs in multiplayer games. But alas, that is my opinion. That's why I want options, so everyone can be happy.

I actually play melee myself. But that's irrelevant. The current system is unfair and anti-fun to many. Why force people to use it in an otherwise awesome game?

having need or greed rolls is probably the most terrible idea ever suggested - who the hell wants to keep being interrupted by having to click that?

Arpg's are suppose to be fast paced, not stopping every 10 seconds to sort loot out.

Because that's how it's going to be, deal with it.
Nothing to see here.

Already been addressed by someone else and I explained how that isn't an issue.

That attitude won't get this game very far. All that's going to do is kill the playerbase and then kill GGG, meaning your precious FFA won't even exist because the game won't be running anymore.

There's no need to be so self centered. The only reason I could possibly think for you basically telling me to screw myself is that you're scared that a better looting option will leave you stuck playing FFA with everyone else that want's to half-ass there playing and focus on stealing from each other.

Where's the fun in stealing loot when everyone left playing FFA are the people trying to steal? Then you end up barely moving forward because you don't have the saps willing to deal with your piggybacking while they try and progress.

Your free loot ride will end one way or another, either by PoE dying out or a better loot system coming along. I feel your pain...

Barring the small vocal horde that descends on anyone with the audacity to suggest change should be considered, i'm certain GGG is aware that there's a substantial portion of their playerbase that disagrees with the current loot scheme.

I myself have advocated multiple loot settings, designated by a party leader.

The current workaround is to play with friends, or play with a guild. I don't do pubby games at all, and i never have an issue with ninjas.

I also snicker when i see people say "don't use common terms!"... "toon". i said it. and laughed.

;)

<3 GGG, keep up the good work.

<3 GGG.

Why is it a bad thing not to want to watch your drops? I'm playing the game to play the game, not play loot whack-a-mole with random strangers.

Hopefully we can get more posts like this. It's possible to discuss this without attacking the other side or labeling one side as better or worse. Let's try to keep things civil. The community as a whole would be better if we could have a long, reasoned discussion about this issue. Regardless of whether of not you want it to change (I don't, for example), you have to acknowledge that there is a lot of contention. I'd like to see one or two pages go by with the terms "archaic", "casual", "steal", or "D3" having to be brought into it as emotional triggers. It's fine to use them to express yourself ("I hate feeling like my one chance at a 6L was stolen" or "I feel like Diablo 3 is a less exciting game because there is no contention over drops"), but that doesn't mean you need to ascribe traits to the other side ("You love stealing everything, don't you?" "Go back to playing D3, your concerned input is valueless to me"). That just leads towards heated argument instead of debate.
If I have two fish, and you have three fish, how many fish do we have?
None. These are MY fish.

Some people refuse to see things from a different perspective and only wish to serve themselves. :/
