Cryengine only 10 dollars a month... do it GGG

I think Epic explained it best in the interview on the link I posted: Normally if someone wanted to use the Unreal Engine, they would have a bit of a talk with the sales team to Epic who would go over various factors and points of interest your company has before giving you a price quote.

The 5% figure was probably made as a catch-all that is simple to understand, while at the same time not losing out too much on what is likely their main income source, AAA game titles.

True, but such an Engine is usualy also alot more than "just graphics" ;) It's also performance, Netcode, how hard/easy you can get results, features like physics etc...
Nobody want's a new engine for PoE just for the graphics.

I would love to see physics in the game instead of preset animations. If they could rely on physics instead of animations they would have much less leadtime animating new monsters and could finish Act8 in much shorter time than now. Would take a long while to implement a new system. With a new engine they would have a large gap of zero new content but after that it would take them much less time to finish a new act than now.

The problem is that gap, can they even afford stopping developement and not lose all players? Think of D2 which had basicly 0 new content for years and still had alot of players until they destroyed the game with overload protection.

Would be epic having a tornadoskill which throws all bodies on the floor around the room doing massive damage, more bodies, more dmg or even a skill that picks up bodies and throws them at enemies. Think of all the possibilities!

Graphics are not everything. Smooth gameplay is. AHK with /oos works perfectly fine but i wish i could do without it. Maybe a different engine is what they need or different servers or something. Im not sure how expensive a transfer would be though.
