Look at how much better this random ARPG someone slapped together looks when they are using Cryengine

That looks an awful lot like POE.... looks wise... but about a bazillion times smoother.
Yea nice tech demo, GGG artists could make a pretty game with that. But who's to say it won't lag like shit if it has to do actual calculations for various mechanics, collision detection and whatnot?

I really think GGG should consider remaking PoE on a new engine... even shitty Runescape did it successfully

It's not about the money at this point, although that's a factor. It would take them YEARS of doing nothing but re-writing code for spells, art, graphics, pretty much everything to do with the game to get it onto a new engine.

No content updates, no new MTXs, no new zones, no new monsters, no new features. Then what would pay the bills while they did it? It just isn't possible at this point to just move everything to do with the game to another engine. If it could be done quick and easy, I'm sure they would have already done it.

There are a few things supporting a very new indie developer with a team of less than 10 people entails and this is one of them. If they ever do a second game, they know what to look for. They didn't have the options they have now when they first PoE into production.

peachii's back!

Dun worry, I think the OP's just trolling. This isn't the first thread from one of the Usual Suspects proffering this "suggestion."

Prolly won't be the last, either. =^[.]^=

It's that, or simply assume he's ignorant to an unlikely degree about a subject well-covered in these fora. =^[.]^=
