Open Beta Registration

I actually had a guild member who did get a divorce due to his WoW addiction! Its sad stuff, I also read that Chinese prisoners are forced to farm gold in prison, so the term 'Chinese gold farmers' has truth :P

Not to continue this derailing of the topic.... however, WoW was not all that bad. It was a good MMORPG for its days. Players want more of a dynamic world these days. Blizzard was trying to accomplish that by phasing (which is really nice)... but that can only accomplish so much. The biggest downfall of the current MMORPGs is that their goals are restricted in how much time you put in and by other people. In D2 and other similar games luck plays a huge role and you're not depending on others either. You can solo the whole darn thing if you want to (it'll take longer, but you can). In games like WoW... well, good luck. On top of that... in ARPGs I've never bothered with reaching certain goals... because I just had fun playing. As I've noted in my other thread... in current MMORPGs all the content until the end-game is just bunch of crap. There are several MMORPGs just as GW2 that are on the way and hopefully will fix the genre. But... enough with my ranting on the current state of MMORPGs..., after all this is POE's thread :D lol

For every reason that GGG decided to make an online ARPG are the EXACT reasons I want to play it, there is absolutely no alternative in today's market (especially with this price range)...

I'm glad I found the game before the Beta, so at least I have a chance of getting picked.

Many people feel this way. But think about this: at least you don't feel the wait as long.

Even if you dont get into closed beta you will get into open. So you're experience of the game will feel far more complete.

No doubt. Even in the alpha I'm still waiting. Always waiting for that next patch, for that new chunk of functionality. Waiting for the game to be so much more complete than it is. It's been really great watching the game grow and get better week by week. GGG have really been working hard and doing an awesome job. There's still so much left to do but we're getting there.

I am the same as others on here. I usually don't post a lot on forums until games are released and people have questions that I am confident on answering.

Once I have experience in a game I post more actively.

I don't normally post on forums that much but I won't lie when I say that I'm incredibly excited. I found a link to think game off of another site, and I was astonished! This looks like the good old D2 I remembered and loved playing (but with better graphics and a much grittier feel)!

I recently quit WoW after getting fet up with Blizzard over various changes that happened during the the Cata beta, and now, I'm even less happy with them due to recent news about the need to be online constantly even in single player, and the RLmoney-AH for D3. I'm really disappointed with the way they have been conducting business recently, and I am SO happy that there is another company out there that will be offering an amazing and FREE alternative. I really can't wait to start testing the beta; crossing my fingers I'll get in ;)
