D3 and PoE

I'll be putting my time into whatever I can play first. So if I don't happen to get an invite and D3 is out I probably won't even think about this game.

You don't have to use the RMAH, you can use just the gold auction house, you don't even have the option for real money on hardcore.

They removed LAN and singleplayer as that allows people to hack their characters, then they could just make make from the ah.

And you can make private games, where only you and your friends can get on, so what's the point in LAN? that only allows hacking.

4 players is more then enough, I'd hate even 3 other people, let alone more then that.

I tend to agree. The graphics of PoE really draw me towards it, although the nostalgia of d2 keeps me interested in d3. I am jacked that i got into the beta and can't wait to play when i get home tonight.

Maybe no offline singleplayer?

Maybe introducing and encouraging "Pay 2 Win" philosophy (RMAH)?
Maybe that we dont have more classes than in Diablo 2?

Maybe dumbing down game by removing skill points (automatic skills progression), stat points (automatic stat progression), ethereal items, runewords, jewels and talismans and giving.... uhmm... NOTHING in change?

And last but not least... Maybe all of this armors and weapond that lokks like cut-off from cheap Korean MMO? This is progression? Changing Diablo series into something that ugly and that bad designed like this?

SRSLY tell me... what improvements? What progression? Diablo 3 is nothing more than REGRESSION of the series and the genre. Because Blizzard current target (casuals and asian players) like this way od gaming. Nothing more.

d3 = progression??? Are you kidding me?!?!

D3 has automatic stat distribution, a pay-to-win system and is basically a dumbed down version of other diablo titles. The graphics aren't even impressive. I think that the D3 graphics are only slightly better than PoE, except PoE has cooler 3d effects (for instance, when you shoot enemies that are on an elevated plain, you see your projectile shooting upward. I haven't seen such an effect demonstrated in any of the D3 footage that I've watched, but I could be wrong).

The gaming industry has become much like the music industry. If you want real innovative, gritty games, you gotta search for them, just like you gotta search for lesser known musicians or turn on the oldies if you want good music. Many of the big, mainstream companies just hash out watered down crap like D3 to appeal to casual gamers. In other words, D3 is justin bieber and Blizzard is its record label.

note: I'm not a fuckin' hipster. Lots of mainstream stuff is good. Just not in this case.

Is it just me or those armor sets look absolutly disgusting. Maybe I'm getting older but it think they are way over the top. I can't believe people like that kind of art style. I know different people different taste but still.

Right now Diablo 3 looks more of a action arcade game than an actual ARPG.

To me PoE's rawness and innovativeness are really attractive, while D3's mainstream focused polish and watered down mechanics are really unattractive.
