D3 and PoE

Heck, I'll take a beta invite from either at this point...all Space Marine'd out trying to pass the time for a sexy RPG.

Honestly, I'm an optimistic fellow. I look for the good in both games and focus on that, not the silly little mistakes. I think that I will try both, figure which one I like better, and continue on with it. They both look like really good games if you ask me.

" Well if shiny looks better then you should stay away from the bait and tackle isle at walmart. With a lot less available content, But it does have more stale content though. poe boss fights= boring mobs blend in with the their surroundings=lame All classes can use them same kite and aoe tactic , lol @ the fact they can all do it with the same spell. 8/10 of the game is d2, so if you didn't like d2 then your going to love poe? Ah whats the point, broke people play broke games. enjoy Last edited by lamdalamdabeta#2397 on Sep 20, 2011, 12:27:21 AM

Originally I was all about Diablo 3, but recent changes I've heard about are turning me off. I'm not a big fan of the Real Money Auction House, no LAN, or 4 player limits (and while I think it gets overemphasized, the radical change in art style is a con too). Just like Starcraft 2, I'm sure Diablo 3 will be a solid game. But I don't really like supporting Activision-Blizzard when they consistently tamper with some of my favourite franchises. If PoE turns out to be a great game, then I probably won't buy Diablo 3. If it still needs a bit of work after launch or if I cave in to peer pressure, I'll play both.

I was a huge Diablo 1/2 fan but I have zero interest in Diablo 3. I don't like what Blizzard is doing with it, to much dumbing down going on.
Path of Exile looks to be the true successor to Diablo 2. Really looking forward to playing it. |

diablo 3 will fail... it never will have such a feeling like D2
Blizzard = money-grubbing |

From what I've seen I like the style of PoE much better, it reminds me of the good times of Diablo 1 & 2.
I think the devs of Diablo 3 have ruined their series, it is to light and happy for this game genre it'll fail and never be as good as diablo 2 but the storyline/lore behind the game will most likely make me buy it. But most likely it'll turn out like the fallouts did, 1 was great, 2 was great, 3 was horrors. Build a man a fire, he'll stay warm for a day. Set a man on fire, he'll stay warm for the rest of his life.

Blizzard died as soon as decided to release an expansion for World of Warcraft beyond The Burning Crusade.
They should have stopped there, the game was amazing. Now I felt that it is nothing more than a shadow of what it once was. Stupid Easy mode. That being said, Blizzard do put out good games, Diablo 2 in my opinion was a very good game. It's one of the reasons why this game stood out to me. Sadly I was not lucky enough to get into the D3 beta, nor am I in PoE beta....Yet. But I reckon both games are going to be very good. They do look similar in some parts, but I believe that is as far as it goes. and that is mainly just the style of game. I had no idea there was a game like this being developed in my own country and I am over the moon in anticipation to play it. I can say that I will be spreading the word. May the grace of Keysus bless us with his divine codes

PoE = Diablo 2 with better graphics and monsters instead of demons.
Diablo 3 = Actual progression in the ARPG genre with a lot of improvements The favorite is pretty clear, if you can't see that you're pretty delusional. |

What do you mean with a "Top Notch" class?
