How do you justify being a PoE "no-lifer" in the new leagues?

You mention that you played Diablo 2, right? What did you play? Offline with mods?
The game has better loot, worse skilltree, is better suited for people with less time.
You don't need to be a no-lifer or a tradewhore in this game, you needed to be both in D2 if you wanted even remotely good gear, wait lets scrap that selffound was almost impossible thanks to most specs depending on runewords (hey, I used up all day doing mfruns, atleast I got this Pul, can consider myself lucky) - unless you played the classic paladin with targe 3pg diamonds. Who knows, most of the people back then used a bot anyway, so might be a reason why your memories seem to be blurred.


& complaining about temporary leagues if you have real life responsibilities, eh you might get the point that leagues which revolve around leveling might give you an advantage if you simply have more available time to spend.

Lvl 65 is less than 2days played.

- You actually get better exp solo, no higher lvls to gimp your xp and monsters have to much life in party.
- you don't have to trade, if u are melee just use rustic sash+whetstone+highest tier weapon u can find vendor recipe and augment.
- play the game, don't stand around sarn for hours
- use an aoe skill
- ignore straggling enemies and kill large packs only
- skip the refund point quests and library until merc and skip docks quest
* when you get to act 3 join pub GRP enter somones portal get dock wp and grab quest item>run to battlefront get quest reward and he'd to Solaris wp then do crema\sewers.
- you don't have to pick up quests to do them.
Farm areas 6+ lvls higher than you for 15%-40% exp per area this is effective to lvl 60

If I was ripping on invasion I'd be 88 plus on ambush.

I have a lvl 65 ambush to on I only played for 1 day.

It doesn't take that long to get 75. It's really the 75+ that takes time. It really just takes a character who can map to do that. I'm not 75 yet with the first character I made, but I certainly could be given 6 hours or so of actually trying to level. Currently though I was just MFing to get gear to try a new character build/concept I came up with on the Ambush League.

How do I do it?

Easy. I don't have to justify it. I enjoy playing this game*. A time investment in the game is an investment in my enjoyment.

*When I'm not experiencing desync or the like.

So to answer your question: Up to 75 doesn't take much time if you have good build that doesn't die and kills quickly. It doesn't take a long time. I have one build I made (my favorite build so far) that leveled to 75 in less than 12 hours played and I wasn't even trying to rush it or skip any quests. Unfortunately, I'm not sure it would work for racing because I have gear and gems available when I needed them. I have a life. I have a full time job that doesn't let me have any time near a computer. I haven't played for a few days even. You don't need to be a no lifer to get 75+. You just need to understand the game and "min/max." Minimize your weaknesses and Maximize your strengths.

How to get to level 70 without being a no life?

1. Get Spectral Throw from scion.
2. Keep using two handed weapons that is crafted with rustic sash+black smith whetstone
3. use LMP and maybe double strike or some other single traget skills
4. get rares with life/resists
5. group up

easy to get to level 70 in few days.

if not? be a no lifer and solo slowly.

So some ppl have some solid skills trading/playing wise with a good backing of friends.

lvl 75 is nothing really. That is around 16 hours give or take. 16 hours / 10 days = 1hour and 36 minutes a day. That is not 'No-lifer'. No even close.

I am level 86 now and I agree that is not casual. Just been lucky enough to have a lot of time on my hands these last 10 days.

I find it interesting that people claiming to 'have a life' are still so blatantly jealous of those with more success in game. Life is what you enjoy, not necessarily your work, nor what other people say you should enjoy. The 'no life' moniker is just a device for passive aggressive douchebags to attack those who are actually living their life.

2 days for 12 hours a day and im level 75+.

So i just play 2 days no life and then take it easy :D

 Invasion in the one league where I honestly believe GGG is doing the right thing by making it uber hard. GGG has needed to expand the permanent leagues by 2, a Solo League for the solitary PoE fan (with trading allowed as SFL is DOA at GGG) and Ironman for the uber hardcore player. Invasion is an iron man type of league so GGG is to be commended for making it extra tough. Maybe after these 4 month leagues are over we can convince GGG that only having Standard and Hardcore base leagues is way too limiting for play style choices and we really need 2 more. Please don't tell me that more leagues will create more fragmented players and a harming of the PoE economy. That's BS. Not having more play style choices means of the 5 plus million registered players probably < 50,000 actively play PoE. Fewer ways to play PoE has done more damage to the economy than expanding the leagues could ever do.
