How do you justify being a PoE "no-lifer" in the new leagues?
Looking as the Ambush and Invasion ladders:
Ambush = 3472 players level 75+ Invasion = 722 players level 75+ with less than 2 weeks into the new leagues. With increasingly harder content every 4 months with no appreciable buff in loot quality how do you justify the time factor anymore? Edit: For these players how many hours per day does it take to get to your 75+ level? "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..." Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. I took 5th in a week race without taking any time off of work. It's all about maximizing your time in game if you can't devote 20 hours a day.
edit: and I work full time btw. Finished 17th in Rampage - Peaked at 11th Finished 18th in Torment/Bloodline 1mo Race - peaked at 9th Null's Inclination Build 2.1.0 - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1559063 Summon Skeleton 1.3 - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1219856 Last edited by Moosifer#0314 on Mar 14, 2014, 9:26:51 AM

" I think it is for leagues that only started on March 5th at 1:00 pm PST and here we are on March 14th at 6:30 am PST. That's only 7 days, 17 hours and 30 minutes. I consider that a very short time to reach level 75+. Top player is at level 91 in Ambush. Truly a no-lifer to get that high in such a short amount of time, PoE skills notwithstanding. " The thing is, when you play the game solo, they might seem like no-lifer but the thing is, to get to high level, you should group up and kill things faster than solo, that is the best way to level up fast, that is to have a good team. |

It's more a function of play style than it is a function of life style. If you only focus on gaining levels and have the support of others, getting to level 75 is no big deal. It's certainly less than 24 hours of play. You should stop comparing your play to others unless you're willing to play competitively. I choose not to compete, and prefer it that way. Others find my style boring as hell. To each their own.
If you're set on competing... you have to find a team that is devoted to it. No such thing as solo play in competition. You need to work together. No matter how good a player is, a team will beat him if he tries to go it alone. |

" Then GGG has a very unbalanced game when you can cruise to high levels in a group and struggle to reach 70+ solo for similar time played. This just gives more credence for the SFL or some form of a Solo League. Not everyone should be required to group to get to high levels or have to solo 16+ hours a day. "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
