While RMT/Botting is the trend, lets share our magical solution and vote on them
There is only 1 possible way to stop RMT. Period. You guys all know it's true too.
Everything account bound. The ONLY way around that is if they power level accounts and sell the entire account which is EASILY traceable based on IPs... so GGG would only need to focus on account trading then instead of all of these millions transactions (yes I said millions) of RMT trading that has been going on. " There comes a point in time where is it cheaper to craft mirror worthy gear than continue paying inflated prices. The only reason prices are currently spiraling is due to the very small chance of successfully crafting a good item with the low frequency of dropped orbs. Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do.

" Also adding "benchmark" crafting into the game - for example making a machine in one of the acts that allows the user to put in 1000 fuses + 500 jewellers + 500 chromes + item = your choice of colors + 6 socket + 6 link... that would cut on inflation because there would now be a base point set in stone - a MAX amount of currency needed to 6L any item. The problem is mostly in peoples heads, if I did not come to these forums I would not even know of this "problem".
Also funny that many people who bitch about rmt/botting also bitch about drops being too low. If botting did not exist shit would be even more rare and expensive and if drops were higher then this would become one of those games where the economy is a complete joke and people drop end game gear on the floor to noobs. |

" I think it completely misses the point of why people complain about loot and crafting. It's not when you have an item with all the right mods in the top ranges, you just don't have their values maxed or the item 6-linked. Which is all that suggestion is aimed at, taking an already great item and making it perfect. It's about finding items that are 'just' good or decent for your level range. That's the problem this game has. Loot isn't keeping up due to ever increasing layers of RNG. Finding items that have a decent amount of sockets and a decent amount of links and close enough colors to what you use and a decent amount of affixes and affixes that are mostly useful to you and affixes that are mostly level-appropriate and a base item that's close enough to your level and a base item that has the defensive stat you're build for is the problem. We don't need certainty for top-end items. We need certainty for decent level appropriate items. My vision for a better PoE: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/863780

" I agree, this is really great, rewards player for actually playing the game instead of trading/RMT. But this still wouldn't help with RMT/botting as there would still be a market for uniques/regular orb currency. ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ Give moar Power Creep Pls |

Make a separate RMT sanctioned league where GGG sells items to people who want to RMT, as they would always be able to undercut the competition. Even people who did not RMT might use it to try out builds if things were cheap. Setup a trade flagging system in the other leagues that flags bizarre trades and investigates them. Hire more people to investigate if necessary from the money made from the RMT sanctioned league.
